I have an iPhone 6 plus and still don't quite know what to make of the Health App. It acts like it's counting my steps but it's definitely not accurate as I don't carry my phone with me every step, like a Fitbit. It is my understanding that it does NOT sync with MFP but I could be wrong. I think it be integrated with other…

I LOOOOVE Brussels sprouts tossed in olive oil and roasted! Best ever. Also, I tried THIS recipe for Brussels Sprouts Au Gratin for Christmas dinner and it was AAAAHHHHMAZING. (ETA delicious recipe.)

I agree with others who have said don't eat what you don't like. I used to always try to force myself to eat salads but really, I just don't like salads and that's ok. Find veggies that you DO like and eat those instead. If you like green beans, try sauteing them in bacon grease or olive oil. Also, bacon wrapped asparagus…

Great progress! It's amazing how much of a difference keto makes when it comes to bloating and swelling!

Thanks to everyone! To answer a few questions: @snooziebunny: An average day's food is: Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled or fried with cheese and 4-6 pieces of bacon Lunch: Low Carb Cheeseburger (No bun, tomato or ketchup) from Hardees or Wendy's and a side salad with full fat dressing. Dinner: Cream cheese stuffed chicken…

Honestly, I don't bother with trying to make imitations of carby foods so I don't buy coconut flour, almond flour or anything of the like. I buy 73/27 ground beef...it's the cheapest meat in the grocery store! One of my favorite keto recipes is a cream cheese stuffed meatloaf (recipe is somewhere in this group) made with…

Well, I take that back now that I think about it. I had gestational diabetes with both of my babies and each time I was put on a low carb diet. If memory serves, it was about 100g of carbs a day.

Don't have any experience with this but wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!

Also-I can also get burned out on eating huge hunks of fatty meat which is why I have a Pinterest board for Low Carb recipes. If I have a ton of quick and easy recipes handy, it's easier for me to switch it up. Since keto focuses more on high fat rather than high protein, I find myself making low carb veggies with butter,…

I can do without the sweets as I've never craved sweets even pre-keto. My big thing around the holidays is finger foods like sausage balls and savory pastries. I found a great Keto-friendly sausage ball recipe if anyone is interested! Taken from paperpotion.com/?p=667 1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or hot – your choice) 1…

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so I never skip it. Also, I find if I skip breakfast, I tend to make poor food choices the rest of the day. My usual keto breakfast is 4-5 pieces of bacon and 2 eggs with cheese. Lately I haven't been hungry during the day so I'll usually snack about 3 or so, then save the rest of…

That's so cool! Way to go!

That's so amazing and inspiring! Congratulations!

Thank you all so much! Yes, it's great to start seeing results especially when I don't feel like I'm struggling with keto. I love it and never feel deprived! I still have a LOOONG way to go but beef, butter and bacon FTW!

So amazing! Congratulations!!

Also wanted to add that you can be successful @ 1300 calories. Use the keto calculator to figure out your macros so you'll know what % of those calories need to come from fat, protein and carbs. I'm not super strict with counting calories. My goal is 1700-1900 calories and my macros are 75% Fat 20% protein and 5% carbs. I…

Hi there! I have only been on keto for 3 weeks, but here's what I've found to be helpful: 1) Fat - I love fat so I don't have a problem getting enough fat. Stir fry your low carb veggies in bacon grease. It's a Southern tradition, so that's the way I grew up. Add bacon to the pot when cooking green beans, kale, collard…

When I get tired of regular water, I drink San Pellegrino or Perrier. La Croix waters are good too, sparkling with a light flavor. I don't like anything too sweet or artificial tasting, so La Croix is my go-to for flavor. 0 calories and 0 carbs

THIS! Now I rely on my digital scale for EVERYTHING. It was a bit of a hassle at first but, boy does it make a huge difference when tracking calories or macros accurately. I didn't realize exactly how much I was overeating until I started seeing what single servings are based on weight.

Lula-I do almost the exact same thing, only without the blue cheese and almonds! Sounds delicious and I can't wait to try those additions!

He really is a smart man...I think I'll keep him. Feeling much better today now that IT's over. I didn't realize how lethargic I was until today's burst of energy. I also stepped on the scale and am officially down 7 lbs in 2 weeks. I realize it's probably mostly water, but the scale is headed in the right direction!

Hi there-new to the group and keto. I just started 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it. I'm a 37 yo Female, married with kids. Love to cook and am always trying new recipes. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

I'm in week 2 of keto and am in the middle of my first keto SW. Seriously the most hormonal I've felt in ages. I have deep body aches and a rage I can't even begin to describe...well, last night I described it to my husband as "murder in my soul." He just smiled, handed me a shot of whiskey and backed away slowly.

Nailed it! I love being one of the only women in the free weights section of my gym. At first I was mortified and intimidated...but once I got a plan and walked in there full of confidence, I never looked back! Sure, I get looks of all kinds from men around me but, then again, I give lots of looks too! I've had so many…

What HAVEN'T I done would be a better question.. Cabbage soup diet, 3-day diet, 4-day diet, grapefruit diet, Adipex, Atkins diet and of course JUICE FASTING. Turns out that I hate being HANGRY.

You can count me in. I was drinking WAY too much daily. My problem is that I can't just have 1 or 2 glasses of wine...I drink the whole bottle and then some. And for me, that leads to terrible food choices. Since drinking causes me to continuously go over my calorie goal by 1000-ish calories, it needs to take a back seat.…

Great post with solid, REAL advice. THANK YOU!

I get mine at WalMart. Lane Bryant's are nice, but I have a really hard time dropping $50 on a pair of yoga pants. WalMart's Danskin line has several styles of pants that are compression-style that stay up well for me and I'm a 2x. I think the last pair of pants I bought were $12.
