Enjoy your first race more than anything else, your goal should be just to finish, start out sloooow, it is very easy to got out to fast with everything that is going on. And as this is your fisrt 10K you will get a PR Awesome. Looks like you have done the training and I am sure you will do great. Good luck

Hi there I am 43 and doing this my 2nd time around. i lost 110# back in 2009 and fell of the wagon, trying to get back on but i keep slipping. Taking it a day at a time and not giving up. I have realized there will be good days and bad days. I am choosing to forget the bad and remember the good.

I will add my 2 cents in as well. Make sure you get plenty of water at least the recommended 8 glasses a day. The last bit to lose will be the hardest, try shocking your system through a different exercise that you have not done in a while. That usually helps me get through plateaus. Live it a day at a time.
