5 '2.5" and I have 26 lbs to go. It finally started coming off when I added low calorie to my low carb lifestyle. Losing around a lb per week, sometimes more. I am finally determined to take off this excess weight ONCE AND FOR ALL!

[ Actually yes, because maintenance is no different from losing - except you get a slightly higher calorie goal per day. I am only on a modest deficit so when I get to maintenance my diet will be the same as it is now except slightly larger portions. [/ Unless I'm being totally blind, I don't understand why that has…

I keep my carbs at 30 grams per day. The more carbs one eats the more they want. Carbs are a trigger food. The more protein and fat one eats the less hungry you are.

Abstainer here. I have no willpower. If I eat one cookie, in the next scene the box is gone. My husband and I ate 7 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in less than an hour. Our original plan was: Eat one or two cookies PER night. Keep them in the freezer. Yeah, sure! This saying for me about sums it up: One is too many, but…

I agree!

This is precisely the reason that I have gone low carb combined with low calorie (1200). It's working!

Thanks! It seems easy for me since I track on MFP. I now see that I was experiencing carb creep. By this, I mean, that my guesstimations were way off. I was eating enough carbs to maintain but not few enough to lose.

Didn't realize how chubby I was getting until I had packed on about 40 extra pounds. Mostly due to married life and I like to cook and eat!

I totally agree! Basically, I gave them (flour and sugar) up in 1999.

5'2.5" here and my ultimate goal is 118.

I have been on a low carb/high protein diet since 1999! Also known as a ketogenic diet. I feel great and have energy to spare.

Hi All! New here. I am 5'2" and my current weight is 153. Am working toward a goal of 118. Got down to 120 in 1999 on Atkins and then carb creeped my way back up to current weight. I have a large frame for a petite person, though. So I could stop in the low 120's. Cheers!
