Hi Maryann It's not easy going through meno and trying to lose weight. I've got that going on plus type one, hypo thyroid. It's a struggle, but, it's one day at a time. I'll send you a friend request if you want to add me.

I did as well!

I'm going to throw a curve ball here. The week I'm starting, I'm at my lowest. The week of, I'm stable. The following week, I'm at my highest. Strange, but, yup, that's me. I think the few days before, I have better bm's ( I know, TMI). But, that's how I've come to look at it. Now, because I'm 50, and perimenapausal, I'm…

No, thanks. I emailed them and they sent me the PDFs by email. PayPal dropped the ball! Thank you !

I have an ipad. Do you know where I will find it once I pay for it? I don't want it lost in cyberspace somewhere!

No kids at home. Don't live on a farm. Don't live in a barn, either, so , housework, laundry, cooking is done by yours truly. Anyway, lifting is for 25 minutes, from start to finish, once a week. C25k is a 30minute, walk/run 3 Days a week. Brisk 1 hour walks 2 days a week. @XavierNusum , thank you for your helpful post.

leooftheyear.......doesn't adding coconut oil add a lot of fat to your macros. I have a hard time keeping that number in check even with not meeting the calories! I know they are healthy fats, but, still!

Thanks.

Hi, I will try to keep this to the point. But, bare with me! I've been on MFP for over two years. did really well the first 6 months and lost 17 pounds. Once I plateaued, I hit a wall and stayed there. Over the last 8 -9 months, the weight has crept back up. so, I'm up 6 pounds from that original loss. I did 1200 calories…

Same here. Even just a few years ago, things were much easier. Working my *kitten* off. Watching and recording everything I eat. This new plan is actually giving me more calories. I'm still being very patient, hoping to see change. I was gaining on 1200 calories. So, what the hell! May as well go for it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm happy with my minimed pump. So, I'm thinking I'll stay with that. But I'm ready really good things about the dexcom. My enlite isn't always on target.

I think we all have the same issue, which is why we're all here. If we are the very same thing every day, that would be one thing. Logging keeps me very real. Knowing I will honestly log everything might make me think twice about having something. It's all about accountability. Mindless eating is too easy. This makes me…

I had to stop W4D1 on Sunday. My sugar dropped too low to finish. Probably a good thing. it was kicking my butt! I did it again this morning and finished. when I looked down and the program said to run for 5minutes, I thought to myself "yeah, right!" but, I did it. I'm 50 years old and will get this done!

I was on 1200 calories for a long time. Lost 17 pounds then stalled and stalled and stalled. Then, slowly, the weight started to creep back up. I gained back 5 pounds. I've actually increased my calories and have joined the eat more 2 weight less group here on MFP. It's hard to wrap my head around eating more. but, it's…

I had been having severe foot cramps. My doctor told me to take 500mg of magnesium. if that didn't help to take 2. It's made all the difference in the world.
-
I've been doing my C25K on the treadmill. It's still really cold here in Pittsburg, NH, and I do it in the morning. I will increase the incline to 2% as recommended. Seems logical. I don't want to die once I can get outside!

great questions. I scan everything I can. Makes life so much easier.

It's a great site with all the support you could want. Just be honest with yourself about what you're eating and what you're burning for calories.

as dave55412 said, wear a reflective vest. Also, if you go fabricate a way to wear some sort of lighting, so you can be seen from a distance. My husband always tells me I should wear a headlamp! I don't think so! But, if it could be worn around my waist, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

a 6 minute mile? yeah, OK!!! thanks for the encouragement.
-
Thank you! I just joined the group and will browse the topics.

magnesium 500mg. I never knew it helped this problem, but that's what my doctor told me to take. " if one doesn't work, try two."
-
I use gummy candy like gum drops or Swedish fish. Much cheaper, and you don't need as many to take care of business.

I am using the minimed enlige sensed. When it's good, it's great! But, you will get some wacky u,bees that don't match at all. I will turn off the sender, and restart it a couple of hours later. The thing with medtronic, is that if you are having trouble, call them. If I don't get the full 6 days on a sender, they will…

I've read a lot about rotating greens. Have you had issues with doing that?
-
Thanks for your input. I'm trying to keep total carbs around 25 or so. I've been using 1/2 c frozen fruit and using almond milk which only has one carb per cup.
-
I leave my settings alone. I may climb after working out, but I'll correct. I hate the idea of not burning a lot of calories when I lift, but then, having to eat for a low!
-
I'm type I. Have been for over 40 years. I need to lose about 15 pounds. I try to eat as low carb as I can. Lots of veggies.

Thank you. A HRM is on my wishlist from Santa!
