I'm rather large.....and I haven't hula hooped since I was about ten years old. Can you hoop if you're as big as me (think Melissa McCarthy before she lost weight)? I joined a gym and I go there to use the treadmill a few times a week but I need to do other things as well so I don't die of boredom.

I feel tired too, and all I want to do is eat. I can usually control the eating part, but I have to force myself to get out and walk or do any exercise. According to my gyn, I'm in the early stages of menopause, so I don't know if that has had anything to do with the tiredness or not. I don't drink caffeine at all - I…

I use my Fitbit to figure out how far and fast I'm walking when I am doing my walking for exercise. I don't count the random steps I take during the day (like to the restroom, or walking to/from my car). I usually make a note of what my distance is showing before I start my walk and then make a note of it after. I also…

Thanks all! I do have a food scale but in my rush I had already started eating the squash (slightly more than half of a standard sized squash). Next time I'll definitely weigh it first.

Pizza = happy. I try to fit it in twice a month, and allow myself two big slices of pepperoni or mushroom (or both) and that helps keep the cravings at bay until the next pizza moment. Does Yankee Candle make a pizza scented candle yet?

Cremation for me. Ashes can be handled any way my kids see fit. I don't even want a memorial service - what's the point of everyone sitting around, being sad, when they can have a small get-together/dinner and talk about the happy things they remember? My kids have always known that I love to laugh, and they know that I…

You got this, TomBrady, and when your daughter comes back home from school, she's going to see just how awesome you're doing, and that will make your hard work feel even better. :-)

I have 80 to lose, but I've lost 60 twice before (I'm good at losing, and good at gaining.....still trying to master the maintaining part). Never be discouraged by a small loss, because it all adds up, and never be discouraged by no loss if you're sticking to your diet and exercise because sometimes your body is just…

It's so nice to see I'm not alone! I confess I'm a taterholic.....I love them in almost every form. I just had one with my dinner tonight, a big 11 oz baked potato with a little bit of ground black pepper and some butter. I was dreaming about it all day at work. Now I can go to bed with a smile on my face. ;)

I've had some luck with JMS (Just My Size) although I think their web site has changed to Hanes now. It's been hit or miss lately with their jeans. They used to fit my pear shape really nicely, but either my butt has gotten bigger or the cut of their jeans has changed because now I have that dreaded butt gap when I sit…

how about dried edamame? I'm not sure if you can buy them in Australia, but they're readily available through Amazon.

I'm currently on 1600 calories a day. I eat three regular meals and three snacks as well. I find that the best way for me to not give in to a binge urge, is to make sure I things made beforehand. I don't sleep well either (because my husband snores LOUD, and almost every night) and when I'm tired, it's easy for me to grab…

I have a recipe that includes mashed up butternut squash. Even my kids will eat it. For a 3/4 cup serving, it's only 263 calories. If anyone's interested in the recipe, let me know.

I used MFP for close to two years, never missed a day of logging, and dropped 90 lbs. Then the holidays came around and for whatever reason, I went on a major cookie eating bender. I saw a post from someone one day about how it's not the end of the world if you goof up, but not to let a day turn into a week or a week turn…

I'm replying to this so I can save. I have also noticed pain in the "front" of my ankles, but for me, it's after walking. I'm still too big to run without causing my knees major issues, so I'm walking for now, but I'm on my fourth day of MFP (for the second time around) and my ankles ache so badly, that I'm having trouble…
