Your diet plan seems pretty good to me, macros are in line with the macros I've read about elsewhere. Your exercise plan is a bit unspecific. Some people lay out exactly what they've been doing in the gym and what their goals are for the next week. I think it helps to be a little more specific than what you've told us.…

Great work! Gaining muscle is so much more rewarding in so many ways than losing weight in my book :)

Get the Sennheiser Orpheus. Worth every penny.

Yeah, I got harassed a little bit when I was younger too so it can happen to guys too. Just a sudden loud honk of the horn when I'm minding my own business and a sudden insult or holler. I feel that they like to do what makes you feel uncomfortable. One time I was pelted with some ketchup packets (that stung, it pretty…

Add me too! Go get those goals!

^this. My guess is each breast is about 9 to 10 oz. You can get the calories by searching for raw chicken breast in myfitnesspal. I usually don't eat only 4 oz of chicken breast in a meal, I can usually eat the entire breast or at least 1/2 the breast and save the other 1/2 for a second meal.

I just do my dooty straight on the lawn. Using the sink and toilet is such a waste of water, paleo cave men didn't need those luxuries. Plus free fertilizer!

I wonder if women know about "sword fighting" It's an old tradition in the men's restroom to engage in sword fighting as soon as someone clears their throat or coughs in the restroom. At that point, two people must drop their trousers and everyone else must chant "sword fight! sword fight! sword fight!" The swords are then…

I'm just like you, heavy cardio completely curbs my appetite.

Knowing is half the battle... you know the problem is you eat when you're stressed, which is good. Anytime you have access to food and you're stressed, but not hungry, then just remind yourself of what you just told us. Take a bite if you really are a little bit hungry, but don't eat 10 slices of pizza cause the kids are…

That's so screwed up. The letter of the law can be so ridiculously unfair, the law literally protects adulterers, cheaters, and punishes the spouses that were loyal and had integrity. It's messed up. But I hope you'll pull through that nightmare and make the rest of your life a good one.

does your elliptical account for your bodyweight? because a light person on the elliptical typically burns less calories at the same speed as a heavier person on the elliptical, but some people don't input bodyweight into the elliptical

No more arguing. No more fighting. No more negativity. Freedom.

imo, the best way for you to know what the best science of fitness of nutrition is to read as much as you can about what has already been studied and then do your own unpublished study with a sample size of 1 person. Yourself. Just log everything. Everything you eat. Everything that is non-sedentary or non-standard to your…

If you really want to do cardio, don't do it on the same day as weightlifting. Stronglifts is good, but I wouldn't do it alongside c25k. Just choose one or the other at first if you want to maximize your results, although you can do cardio if you enjoy it... but I would not do it on the same day as weightlifting.

Losing fat and gaining muscle simultaneously usually doesn't happen... If you're doing cardio 6 times a week then yeah you're losing a lot of fat... but you're probably losing some muscle as well.
-
Can't target belly fat, unfortunately fat will disappear faster in some areas than others. Just gotta diet and exercise for long enough until you slim up all over and your belly will eventually disappear too.

I'm currently doing keto, add me if you want!

Don't let these naysayers get you down. It's possible with a hacksaw and some imagination.

If you have access to a good gym and you really want to build muscle while shedding fat then you should do something like Stronglifts 5x5. The benefit of doing this program is that it uses compound exercises which uses a lot of your muscles at once, avoiding imbalances of other training programs.

More Money =/= More Effective If you have an extra $100-$200 per month burning a hole in your pocket (or whatever those supplements cost), then spend it on the best quality of food that you *want* to eat. Eat more steak, seafood, fresh vegetables. Buy some kitchen appliances and utensils that last for years and make your…

Hang in there, that blows

By the day. There's only so much micromanaging I want to do and I just like to listen to my body. If I need to eat over my goal one day, then that's fine as I probably needed that food to function or I had plans on doing something difficult later on. I'm not gonna purposefully under-eat just because I overate the day…

It's nothing fancy, but my go-to for the past week is 2 cups of fresh spinach, a scoop of banana whey protein powder, and 1 or 1.5 cups of coconut milk. Low calories, a good amount of protein, and some fats to supposedly help absorb the vegetable vitamins. Tastes rather good to me, the banana whey protein by itself is way…

I'll be your buddy :) I too am back to MFP after being successful at it the first time but then life just happened and I gained it back over a couple of years. Anybody else that wants a buddy can add me too!

Well done. You did great, glad to hear you've overcome so much and have made such great progress in less than a year!

Protein + carbs are good for your muscles right after a strenuous workout. Helps retain/build muscle if you use it after a hard workout. What you're drinking is mostly just sugar and fat with no protein. If you added some protein, then it *might* be beneficial to you. Many people do either protein alone or protein + carbs,…

Hey, don't knock it 'till you try it. I won't say anything else about it though, cause I've never tried it :p
