Put ornaments on the bottom that have bells to alert you when they are in the tree and keep the spray bottle visible, now all we have to do is the sit the spray bottle by the tree and she does not go near it. It did take a couple of years of training though, the 1st year was the most difficult after that each year would…

Thanks y'all I will work on my quads and my core strength.

How wonderful, glad to see his update!

I gained .6 of a pound, OK not not that much but still I gained. Arrrgggg!!! I did however lose 5.5" so that does make me a happy. Just goes to show me that the scale is really evil, just like everyone keeps saying! Hope everyone else is happy with their results as they weigh in today.

Tomorrow is the big day, who all is excited? Me, me, me!!!!
-
Right there with ya!

Congrats on the inches lost, that is where it really counts! I will measure myself on the 1st as well, hoping for some inches lost.

The actual event is in a group, this topic informed the public of the group should they want to join.

Hanging in there. Actually I have to admit, I do not miss the scale at all! I am looking forward to my weigh in day just to see if I have lost any weight, but I do not miss the obsession I had of weighing every single day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Hope everyone else is doing well, one more week, we can do this!

Congrats on your first 5K! I am also doing the Color Run in a couple of weeks.

We just got these in our store this weekend, got one in every flavor they had. So far I have had the key lime-graham cracker and the peach-pistachio and all I can say is YUMMY!!!!!

OK, I know this will probably sound like a really stupid question, but it is a serious one. How do you time yourself? I work out alone so I do not have anyone there with me to time me and I cannot figure out how to do a timer myself. Of course I have a stopwatch on my phone, but how do you hit the start and top button…

Well I thought I would do a final check in. I did it, I ran the Tunnel to Tower 5K this morning and I finished in 37:48. I am very proud of myself but not as nearly as proud of the firefighters and military personnel who ran in full garb, they were truly an inspiration!

I have to say I do not miss stepping on that evil scale every single morning, it was in a way controlling my life. Now I am looking forward to the end of the month to see what the scale will show, but it is a exciting anticipation not a controlling factor of my day. Hope everyone is doing well with this challenge.

I like Target's brand (Market Pantry) chocolate whey powder. I normally drink it with Almond Milk but if I have to carry it somewhere for later (like the gym) I use water and it tastes good both ways. It took me a while to find this one, lots of trial and error and I found this one to not be chalky or to have an aftertaste.
-
Yes ma'am! Of course it has been easier because I had my husband hide the scale and I have no idea where it is!
-
I had my husband hide ours. Is there anyone in your home that can hide it away? That way you will not be forced to see it sitting there wanting you to step on it.

I am a new runner and I prefer to run outside but it is just too hot and humid here right now so I have been running inside at the indoor track. (I am a student and have a beautiful gym with a great indoor track at my school.) In cooler weather (under 90) I love to run my neighborhood. I cannot run on a treadmill, well…

This is what is preventing me from going to get fitted. I cannot run in a 2 x 4 box and if I did I would be so focused on staying inside that little box that I would not be running with my true stride.

I want to do this, I weigh myself every single day, sometimes twice a day, I drive myself crazy with it. I have already had breakfast this morning but I did record my weight and measurements yesterday (end of the month) so I will use that as my starting weight. Current weight 177.4 chest 38 waist 30.5 hips 41.5 thighs 25…

Just thought I would check in, I just completed w6d3. Only 2 more weeks to go, just in time for my 5K on the 15th. :-)
-
I use the Zenlabs C25K app for iPhone and so far I have had success. I am currently on week 6 and I have signed up for a 5K on September 15th and I feel that I will be able to complete it.
-
I did it, I ran for 20 minutes! Whoo Hoo!
-
Hate to hear this. I wish you a speedy recovery!
-
I agree, don't want to get too personal but her butt is awesome. I want my butt to look like that!

Surprisingly week 5 so far seems to be easier than week 4. I did not run today making myself have a rest day between runs but I did do 30 minutes on the elliptical, whoo hoo! That made me happy!

Mobile here! Born in Decatur, lived in Cullman, Decatur, Pratville, Montgomery, and now Mobile (been here since the early 70's).

KT, it went surprisingly well tonight, I completed W5D1 without any issues. I know that different people use different C25K programs so for the one I use (Zen Labs) it was warm-up walk 5, run 5, walk 3, run 5, walk 3, run 5, and 5 min cool down. The rest of week 5 is (d2) warm-up, run 8, walk 5, run 8, cool-down and (d3)…

Such an inspiring story. Congratulations to your dad!
