I cut carrots and celery into perfect little snack size strips and keep them in a little bowl of water on the fridge shelf and I find while I am standing there staring into the fridge trying to figure out what I want, I will tend to grab one of those without even thinking.

Well I am still nursing my back, so no shredding for me. (My lower back completely seized up on Saturday while doing the rockstar jumps.) I have started walking in the afternoons (avoiding hills) and stretching my back after each walk. Because it is now day 4 without shredding I am going to give my back the rest of the…

I was thinking about doing 6wk 6pk, but my back has to get better so I can finish level 3. I still have 5 days left of level 3 and I am hoping to be able to get back to it soon. I walked my neighborhood yesterday so hopefully I can return to shredding by tomorrow or the very latest Friday, if not I plan on starting level 3…

If you don't mind me asking where are you from? I also live in the South and attend many Mardi Gras Balls, I am in Mobile.

That is me, I attempt to go to the weight room but I have no clue what to do and always regress back over the treadmill where I am comfortable.

Or when the people around you (in Zumba) do not do the traveling moves so it prevents you from doing them as well because you have no where to go.

I used to be that way and it turned out to be a B-12 deficiency. Once I started on B-12 monthly shots I no longer have that problem. Just a FYI.

My back is still out, did not get to do anything yesterday, hoping I might be able to do it tonight (but I doubt it). If I am unable to get back to it by tomorrow I guess I will start level 3 all over. I have come too far (25 days) to have to quit now.

Anyone? Or could others share their workout routines? Please and thank you!

:frown:  Doing level 3, day 5 this morning, 1st set of rock star jumps and snap, there went my back. My lower back has seized up and I am now in pain and can't sit down. I am more upset that I did not get to complete day 5 and I don't know how long I will be out.  :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: Everyone…

It does seem to go by much faster.

Level 3, day 2 done!

You are very welcome. If your weights are larger with enough room for you to hold the weight against the floor and your hand not touch the floor, it shouldn't be an issue. Mine are smaller so my hand is squeezed between the weight and the floor when I did the push-up weight lift.
-
Just an FYI, remove your rings when completing level 3. Learned this the hard way, completed day 1 of level 3 yesterday and the push-up (plank) weight lifts hurt if you have rings on,

Level 2 done! Start level 3 tomorrow. I kind of skipped through to see what I was in for, ruh roh :noway: :noway:

I was tall and lanky, nick name was "string bean", no hips, no chest, no curves, just straight up and down. Once I hit my early 20's I developed an actual hourglass figure. hips, chest, and a butt. I went form straight up and down to what I called "child bearing hips". I think I was just a late bloomer, nothing more.

Guess I am the weakling here, I use 2 lb weights. I have no upper arm strength so 2 lbs is a challenge to me. In level one on day 5 I started alternating between 2 lb and 5 lb, but on level 2 I am still using the 2 lb and I am on day 10. I will have to wait and see what level 3 brings.

Level 2 is bothering my knees as well (I have bad knees), it has not stopped me, but I have to do the rotating lunge things very gently. I have completed day 9 of level 2, 1 more day and I am on to level 3.

I always weigh first thing in the morning before I eat or drink anything. As long as you are weighing yourself at the same time and in similar clothing I guess it really would not matter.

Ha ha, I started wearing one in Zumba, said I didn't care what I looked like, I was bringing the sweatband back!

Just rejoining thread 2 Completed day 6 level 2 tonight! Whoo Hoo!

Here is mine. I have been yo-yo-ing for the last 6 years (gained 50 lb when I quit smoking 7 years ago), lose 20, gain 25, lose 25, gain 20...yada yada yada. Each time I start again I set my goal weight at 145 and the closest I have come is 165 before I stop trying and gain it all back. Well I am going on a cruise in…

Hi, I am just joining in the conversation. I am on level 2, day 5 and so far I have not taken any breaks. Those evil planks, I still can not do the plank squats, I have to do one leg at a time, but I now can do one set on the plank jumping jacks, the 2nd set I still have to do one leg at a time. While I dislike the planks…

I would love to join the group.

I like that idea too, wonder how many miles I would have to walk to Jamaica (if there were a land mass to do so)? I will find out and I better get to walking cause I have feeling it is going to be a ways!

I think it is very doable and you can do it in a healthy way. They say 1-2 pounds a week is a healthy weight loss, well if you have 6 months you will need to lose 2.09 per week. (Hope I figured that correctly) But in reality you really only have about 5 months being that it is already several days into June so you may not…

Looking good! I finish level one today and I am excited to take "day 10" pictures.

Thank you ma'am!
