  • I'm starting to see my upper abs pop, so I love flexing them. That and my quads, but I also like to practice pointed turnout, so that's my excuse. I haven't taken progress pics in a while. I'll try to post some soon.
  • I can't have the cookies in the house period. And that's fine. If I really, really, really want a cookie, I have to travel to get it. I rarely eat the cookie. I've never been overweight and that 's probably why, lol.
  • I prefer it over milk. I just buy the original or lite varieties (not the vanilla). It is lower calories than milk--even skim, and lasts longer in the fridge. Plus I like it, so...
  • Bump! Sounds great. I generally avoid flour, but it's a small amount. Wheat and I can barely tolerate each other. Might try an alternative flour. If I do, I'll try to remember to let everyone know how it turns out.
  • 1. Strength: Complete a full dragon flag (or two by 2015). 2. Flexibility: Flat splits on both sides. Chest to floor in straddle. 3. Diet: Reduce drinking(<10/week). I'm a social drinker. Way too social lately. :drinker: Also, would like to start a slow bulk over winter. 4. Training: No specific aerial goals, but would…
  • Well, he is a 19 year old female, but I see what you are saying. Testing one's RMR is pretty dang simple. If the OP is truly only eating 1500 calories/day and running ~ 5-7 miles per day, and doesn't think her weight gain is purely water, I'd recommend she have her RMR tested. I get that we hear it all the time on this…
  • I've read a case study on a woman training for a marathon that actually put on weight while eating at a deficit. When tested, her RMR was depressed. Distance running is one of those things that causes high stress in our bodies. Couple that with a large calorie deficit, and the body reacts to that stress. Stress produces…
  • For the most part I abstain. I know that I can't really keep any kind of junk food in the house, especially not things like cookies or brownies. That doesn't mean I'll never have them, but I just can't have them around. I know people say this isn't sustainable, but I disagree. I've maintained a healthy weight pretty much…
  • Bump! Sounds great! I even have all the ingredients except the cauliflower from a cauliflower crust pizza I made the other day...
  • I've been doing a modified stronglifts (basically just compounds anymore) for almost a year. My weight hasn't changed, but my body sure has, and people definitely notice. I'm more compact, have visible abs, and very little cellulite any more. Still need a little work in the bum area (IMO), but I'm going to need a bulk for…
  • Bump! I'm super into these desserts! Egg whites would make them even lower calories. This will be the first yogurt based recipes ive tried. Looking forward to it!
  • Lifting heavy has gotten rid of 90% of my cellulite. There's still room for improvement in my butt, but I think I just don't have enough muscle there yet. Going for a bulk this winter and then a cut. BTW, I'm currently about 19% body fat.
  • Bump! I love PB2, so I'm always looking for new ways to use it.
  • Usually I stretch or do a different exercise. Pushups, maybe some planks, dragon flags if I'm resting between bench press...
  • For the lowest calorie option, go with hard liquor and club soda. The flavored vodkas are pretty much the same calories as plain vodka. For a spritzer (which I enjoy), use diet sprite or seven up instead of club soda. It'll be tastier.
  • Yeah I'm a size 2-4 in misses and a 7-9 in juniors. Sometimes I can fit in a juniors 5 if the cut is right.
  • I'm active here, but we're already friends. I do silks regularly, and sometimes perform, Lyra has been put aside for pole for now. I also have gotten into weight lifting in the last year. Needed something to work my legs, lol. I've gotten a lot more lean since I joined mfp. I'd like to be a bit leaner. I think a…
  • I drink it. I don't have any problems. I only drink one a day though. I also drink coffee.
  • Shoot, I'm 5'5" and 130 and a 38 year old female. I lose weight at 1700 calories. And to maintain, I need to average around 2200/day. So 1500 for a 5'11" male is way too low, IMO.
  • I'm 5'5" and 130 lbs and my TDEE is about 2200 calories/day. 1960 sounds perfectly reasonable for someone of your height/weight. In fact I'd lose at that amount. Try grossing 1700/day and see if you start dropping. That allows for a modest deficit, which is appropriate for someone with a small amount to lose. BTW, I've…

  • I walked so much in Italy I'm pretty sure it negated any extra calories. Careful with the goodies, watch portion sizes, and don't worry about it. I vacation a lot and it never seems to derail me. I've been maintaining about 130 lbs for a year with two Mexico trips, an Alaska trip, and lots of nights out at the bar.
  • Hmm, I bet you could use egg whites for even less calories. Thanks for sharing the recipe! I will definitely have to try it
  • I guess it just depends on your overall calorie requirements when it comes to grams. I could probably get away with a larger number of carbs (like your 250 grams), but not at my calorie needs if I also want to hit protein or fat, which I feel is more important. I was getting too much of my daily percentage from carbs. So…

  • No, but if you're changing your diet from a carb heavy one to one with more protein or fat (gotta fit those macros into the calories somehow), you probably will be affected. I went from eating probably 300 grams of carbs a day to about 100-150. Protein went from 40 ish grams to 100-110 grams. I did feel like sh$t for about…

  • I find gym yoga to be a nice balance. I don't think I could do yoga at an actual yoga studio...

  • My favorite ab workout is dragon flags. I'm only strong enough to do a reverse, but man they are great! Soon, the full dragon flag will be mine...

  • I prefer the flavors in Crystal light liquid water enhancers, but yeah, I drink them all the time. I'm still alive and kicking. And fit, haha.
  • OMG, I'm dying laughing. Now I need to read the rest of this thread.
