  • Hi all! Just getting started on my keto journey and would love some friends with open diaries to see some food ideas. Thanks!
  • Hello! I've used MFP and the calorie counting method once in the past, when my littles were actually little, and was sucessful, but it's not working this time. I've been "kind of" Keto for a month or so now, but really want to give it an honest try. I'll admit it, I go in waves with my will power and I love food. =) I'm…
  • I've heard lifting weights is the way to go, but haven't had a chance to test out the theory yet. I saw this article awhile back and thought it very interesting: http://www.crossfitsouthbay.com/2011/05/skinny-fat/ Good luck!
  • Will be referring back to this info in the future, thanks everybody!
  • Not sure if I have the willpower, but I'm at this stage. Thanks for the info!
  • My great aunt was single all her life and seemed very content in her life. Now, she didn't live alone per say, she took care of her parents as they got older, or maybe it was just her dad, can't remember, and she always had at least one dog, but she hever married and never had kids. Not for lack of offers, either, but just…
  • For me at least, totally normal. When I started, 5 mins was a challenge. Figure out what a good time is for you right now, so that you're tired when you're done, but not like you can't go any further. Do that for a week, then bump it up a couple of minutes for another week, the next week, do the same, just keep bumping it…
  • For me, I like positive, supportive people, and people that I can support back. I try and keep my list to a minimum so I can feel like I'm keeping up with friends I have and be super supportive (although I've been slacking lately...). Just depends on what you're looking for. Good luck!
  • The terriyaki burger is real good, too, but I'm with you, the guac is awesome!!! I'm not one for trying things outside of my usual, for fear I won't like it and will have wasted money, but I gambled a while back and am so glad I did!! =)
  • I don't know how helpful someone else's routine will be for you, but I'll give you mine, maybe for some ideas. (Keep in mind, I'm OK with routine, I don't need a ton of variety, and this was when I was in the process of losing, I'm at a maintenance level now, so it's a bit different...) Breakfast was usually two hard…
  • That's awesome, yay for you! But definitely, if your body says no, then don't. Maybe find something lighter to do, maybe a walk, yoga, something easy like that? It's amazing how good a good workout can make you feel! =)
  • Maybe change your setting to sedentary and wear your hrm? Or, change your setting to the next step up from lightly active? That's a toughy, good luck and good luck on your show!
  • Oh, good, another person that thinks the way I do, I'm really liking this thread!!! =) I do the same thing! I'm really having to push it today, (today has not been a good day for me) but I'm still going to make it. Tomorrow will be better... =)
  • =) Glad to see someone else works the way I do... No, I wouldn't feel guilty at all, if you had the room left and all your numbers are still under, then go for it, especially if it's only once in a while, you deserve it for being so good!
  • I read another post that the person made "pre-made" snacks, just made a bunch of snacks up in 100 cal packs so she knew how much she was getting, sounded like a fantastic idea to me. =) That might help, if you knew that you ate 2-100 cal packs of carrots, cucumbers, apples, etc? Good luck and congrats on the baby!
  • Hi there! I'm not a breastfeeding mom, nor have I ever been able to, but I have lots of friends that do, so this topic (for some reason) is interesting, to me. =) A lot of people on here have said that you can, in your food diary, enter breastfeeding as a food and it will subtract calories from your food total, based on…
  • Way to go, that's awesome!!
  • Sounds good, will have to give them a try! Thanks!
  • At a 10% incline, 3.5 miles/hour, for 30 minutes, my hrm says I burn mid 400's.
  • No, no, no!! Don't let it get you down and don't give up, you're just gaining momentum! =) Like everyone else says, it didn't just appear overnight, it's not going to disappear overnight either! Glad your belly let you know it didn't like the food last night, next time, you'll remember that feeling and it'll help you make…
  • Sorry, not in your position at all, I'm the one that does the shopping. But, I would like to commend you for doing the best with what you have, it sounds like you're a bright gal, way to go! I think it's tough in some families, and I can see how it would have been tough to grow up making good choices in either mine or my…
  • I eat a couple of hard boiled eggs or an egg and a stick of cheese for breakfast. i usually add a glass of juice and/or a piece of fruit, also. Hope you find something you like! =)
  • I'm from Oregon, but I've seen lots of people from other countries, a lot of Canada, UK, etc. Welcome!
  • Ooh, that would be a toughy. What about just doing things like losing one of the slices of bread. when they ask what you're doing, maybe tell them you just aren't hungry enough for the whole sandwich, but know that the meats/cheeses are the most important? Make sure they see you eating veggies and fruits, too? Maybe you…
  • I think it's a serious trouble spot for almost all of it. The only thing I have found to be helpful is to stick to my regular routine as much as I possibly can, up at normal time, exercise as normal, meals as normal, etc. If anything, I can exercise a bit more on the weekend, which allows me to splurge just a bit on dinner…
  • I'll be curious to find out, too. What I wonder though is, is it down to the diet now? Do we need to eat super healthy to get rid of that, then allow some of it back in? I in no way claim to be a fantastic eater. I watch my calories and do a fair job of staying under, I drink enough water, I eat my protein and veggies, I…
  • Once a week, that's it. It would drive me up the wall if I weighed any more often. Good luck!
  • Thanks, will have to try those!!
  • Will have to give this one a try, thanks! =)
  • I looked her up and it doesn't look like she's made any posts?? Also, her diary is private, so not sure where to help?
