  • @AJuff I hope you come back to read these replies  He's a jerk, and that behavior is abusive. I hope you're realizing that and acting accordingly. I wish you all the best.
  • Welcome! First and foremost, please make sure your depression and ED are being sufficiently controlled. That will make all the difference. Work closely with your doctor (hopefully he/she is helpful and supportive). I'm a big fan of working whatever I want into my plan, within reason. "Cheat" days/meals aren't necessary.…
  • 80% chance of rain here every day between now and Friday  Netflix and Vit D supplements it is!
  • This one amused me today.
  • I've thought this for a while
  • As a non-touchy person, I can dig this. Lawmakers advised to give 'Star Trek' greeting to avoid contact as Hill prepares for coronavirus https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/10/politics/coronavirus-congress-precautions-greeting/
  • And if you don't share this post, you're a monster and dooming all your friends and family to a horrible fate because obviously sharing things on social media changes your fate 😩 If you don't comment on this post, I'll know you didn't read it!!!!!!
  • You will be, if you run out of toilet paper!
  • Very well said, and I agree on all fronts. I work in the hospitality industry and know the company I work for is going to be affected, possibly quite severely, in the short term. But if that means a better long-term outcome, how can we not? We'll probably never know the extent to which social distancing will work/has…
  • Dallas has now confirmed at least one case of community spread and is also prohibiting gatherings of 500+. https://www.wfaa.com/mobile/article/news/health/coronavirus/5-new-cases-of-covid-19-reported-in-dallas-county-1-due-to-community-spread-officials-say/287-42732226-4780-4c82-893c-b2e53c0d7b74
  • I'm in the hospitality industry. We're likely to have a VERY bad March and 2nd quarter, at the least. My job is safe, but the entry level employees will be affected.
  • Where do bidets fall on the civilisation continuum? I'm thinking bidet > toilet paper > newspaper > corncobs (but really, isn't anything beyond poison oak/ivy/sumac greater than a corncob??)
  • Assuming there's a hospital with a respirator available for you to be on.
  • I fail to follow the logic of (preventable) deaths from this new virus being acceptable simply because other people die from the flu each year.
  • We're going this afternoon (just to top up some stuff, not a massive stock-up, as we already have a good pantry and freezer available). I also hope it's not madness. We're going to Aldi, so maybe it won't be as crazy.
  • I think this idea has merit. Don't punish people for calling in sick to help prevent the spread. Yes, some people will take advantage of it. And it will be a burden on many organizations, but at least people will be able to stay home if they're unwell without fear of losing their jobs. Plus 2 weeks of sick pay if you are…
  • I was joking with my husband last night after taking this picture how maybe in 5 years we'd be laughing about the Great Toilet Paper Apocalypse of 2020, and how people would still be using up what they bought. Then I got home and read about the numerous developments late yesterday evening, and it wasn't quite so funny…
  • I saw a center aisle display of cloth diapers (odd) and wondered briefly if someone thought it would be a good idea to boost product visibility, given the current TP situation. Strange days...
  • The toilet paper aisle at my local Walmart tonight. There aren't even any confirmed cases in my little town (yet).
  • Because I was *kitten* sick of eating in a deficit by that time 😂
  • Article highlighting just how much more widespread this could be (probably is) and a missed opportunity in Seattle for earlier warning. https://www.yahoo.com/news/just-everywhere-already-delays-testing-121556497.html
  • Maybe it's a matter of semantics, but if breaking a voluntary quarantine has legal ramifications, is it really voluntary? Or is it the difference between quarantining yourself at home versus being hauled off to serve your quarantine under strict supervision?
  • Nor do I feel it is a panic situation. But... An entire COUNTRY is locked down from this. I don't see any discussion here that is fear-mongering or unduly alarmist given the situation. Quite the opposite (aside from a few notable exceptions) it's all very level-headed.
  • To be fair, you weren't very worried at the beginning of this thread. Granted, that was 8 days ago, but obviously enough people were already worried enough to start discussing it. The nonchalant attitude toward spreading it to other at-risk individuals is the epitome of selfish, though.
  • Another perspective from Italy: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=532587150786846&id=209790553066509 And thank you, @snowflake954 for your firsthand accounts. It's very enlightening and gives those of us where it's just ramping a lot to think about.
  • I just realized we have a black market goldmine in the bathroom at work!
  • I've done it - and had the same reaction to myself  Those picky little bags in the meat department are stubborn. At least it was one I'd already pulled off the roll. I'm also a contact-wearing eye-toucher, I've noticed since all this came up
  • #toiletpapergate is a thing now  (I guess...I don't do the Twitter) https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/coronavirus-prompted-toilet-paper-gate-170200261.html
  • Sounds awful. Need another hug?
