Sounds great. I'm more into cycling myself. But I know running strengthens your heart as well as your legs.

I think everyone's starvation level is different and always in a state of flux. I doubt one day below 1200 will automatically turn your fat burning body against you.

Just take it one day at a time. We all have these down spells. I'm kind of in one myself right now. Do you like shopping? Walking through the mall is fun and technically exercise. I could do it for hours and not even realize it.

1. I love the sound of rain and thunderstorms. 2. My favorite actors are all older men (Kevin Costner, Dennis Quaid, Tom Hanks, Robin Williams) 3. I help teach roller skating most weekends. 4. I love Sci-fi. 5. I have a degree in Animation, and working on a second in Accounting. 6. Singin' in the Rain is one of three…

Alone in the Dark...Christian Slater At the half way point it was just me friends in the theater. So we made it into a fun mst3k.

Just mention your looking to your friends. Odds are one will have it or know someone who does. I got it from a friend but have been to sick to start lately.

Did you use ground beef with bread crumbs?

I agree. But there are plenty of alternatives. Bike rides, skating, swimming, paddle boats...

I enjoy bicycling. It seems to give my legs a nice lean look. And it's just fun.

I wonder if thinking really hard burns more calories? I wouldn't worry to much. We'll be here for you when you get back. Just try sticking to the diet I guess.
-
Maybe try easing back into group exercise with a fun approach. If you have some bikes a little nice weather ride can turn into a great workout. Positive reinforcement afterward...snuggle, kissy kissy face...you know.

It doesn't work for me, unless it's dark chocolate. If I eat ice cream and stay under my calories I'll still gain weight.
-
Good luck. You can do it!

I think I'll get a new pair of Sperry shoes or a Xbox Kinect.

I use a United Health Care pedometer. I borrowed it from my did who used to work in that industry. It works great. A little white thing covered in clear plastic. Idk if they make it, or it was just a freebie at some company event long ago.

I see a lot of meathead types that grunt and drop the weights. They also gather all the weights they'll need for their entire workout. If your strong enough to lift it your strong enough to put it back.
-
Sounds like you already have the exercise aspect down. Now just nail down your eating habits and those holiday pounds will melt away.
-
Exercise should be logged separately from your daily job/life activities. So unless your job has gotten more active leave the setting on light. As you add your exercises you'll gain more calories to eat.
-
The diet is more important than the exercise. A good pair of shoes is great. You can just walk if your starting out. Even walk at the mall and window shop as you burn calories.

I'm down to 190.5, 1.5 lbs. lost so far.

This has to be the most unique question I've ever seen on MFP.

I'm sure she was trying to put "eating your exercise calories" to the ultimate test.

I'd go with the more conservative of the two.

It's a long term goal of mine. Hopefully I can start with a sprint later this year, and progress as I get more fit. Swimming is the big hurdle for me.

If there was any real benefit to it all males between 10 and deathbed would have amazingly toned arms. We've had the shake weight since the beginning of time.

I have a feeling the closer your daily net is restricted to 1200, the more strict you must be to hit that goal. I'm at 1700+ so I don't feel bad if I'm over or under by 100 calories. I think I put 1 1/2 pounds a week and it's just flying off. I never starve myself. If I'm hungry I'll eat even over my allowance, cause my…
