However, they do teach spelling and the like there.....
-
Yum! That sounds delish!

I make a batch of soup on the weekend and that's my lunch for the week with a bread roll - this week it's red capsicum and LSA. Snacks are carrots, cheese, apple, rice crackers and yoghurt.
-
Nice goal Pippa, you CAN do it!
-
Spring has Sprung in ChCh - we are looking at 20 degs today - woo hoo! But I have been SLACK in my discipline and eating, grrrrr.... but at least my daily exercise habits mean I haven't porked on too much weight!!
-
A family of 7 and you wash once a week - geez what fun your Friday must be! And using "extra power and water" to run the machine ermmm, no - you would still be running it the same amount of times just spread over the week instead of all in one day. I have 3 in my family and still wash (full loads) 3 x a week.
-
^^ this I also find pre-logging my days' calories at the beginning helps me to see what I can "afford" to eat. When you are "hungry", have a drink of water and eat a carrot or 6 raw almonds (or a similar low cal snack that suits you), wait 10 mins and decide if you are still hungry.

Are you in ChCh Bridgie? The one I've just signed up for is the same - it cost $50 to register but you get $40 back if you attend 10/12 sessions including the first and the last. And yes, it has the herbalife products so I too am a bit skeptical - however I will reserve judgement until I see what the fitness side of it is…

Me too :grumble: Lets get back on track together

Hey team, Happy Monday! Well I've been on the slippery slope backwards of late so today is the start of a new day! I have signed up for 4 weeks of bootcamp, will hopefully be enough to get my mojo back and cut my nightly crap food binge! Weather in ChCh is lovely again today, I can feel spring in the air! Cath

Hi everyone, I'm Cath from Christchurch, New Zealand. My current weight is 75kg (165lb) and my goal is 68kg (115lb) My favourite sin food is probably hot chips but chocolate and potato chips would be up there too!

Back in for August! June was a success and July was a washout.... So my August goals are pretty much same as my June goals: - no drinking for the month; - Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred plus biking to work and running two/three times a week - log log log and stick to daily cals - PLUS get back into my uni study and stick…

I'm the same as you at the moment, had a great month in June, hit all my targets and lost weight and loved it. All because I was going on holiday at the beginning of July. I've been back 2 weeks now and am finding motivation hard - haven't managed to get out of bed early to workout (its cold and dark and winter is dragging…
-
Good luck y'all! I'm just about at the end of my "dry June" so haven't had a drink in 24 days - damn near a record for me! So I won't join you on this one (I'm on holidays next month so planning to break the drought!) but encourage you to give it a go. I'm super stoked with myself as deep down I wasn't sure I could do it…
-
Clearly you are not alone! This was me also so I decided to have a "dry" month for June - the weight is falling off!
-
Hi, I'm also 5'7" and was around size 14 and now a tight size 12 after 3 weeks of the following: Exercise: - daily Jillian Michael's 30 day shred (about 250 cals) - biking to and from work (about 40 mins = 500 cals) 4-5 x per week - run (45 mins - 1 hour, about 800 cals) x 1 per week Food: My daily cals are set to 1350 (of…

I was diagnosed coeliac about 8 years ago and I remember going through my pantry and having a sook about all the things I could no longer eat! But, IT DOES GET EASIER! I'm now at the stage where I don't miss very much at all (except maybe Mum's homemade biscuits...) and find it actually helps with my health and weight loss…

Open to friends. Agree with others that makes me more accountable - esp when I have a bad day but still force myself to log it all...... Also makes me think twice about pigging out completely or drinking a whole bottle of wine when I know others can see it - but I sometimes do it anyway! Nothing against making it public…
-
Well done, great achievement - running is awesome!
-
Oh that sux! I haven't had to do this - was diagnosed coeliac via endoscopy before I knew and was therefore eating gluten at the time - and I agree, it is horrible that this is the only way currently for a definitive diagnosis. When is your test - my understanding is you do the gluten challenge for 4 weeks prior? In that…

Brilliant! I thought I was a Cougar but at 37 I guess I'm actually a Puma - love it!

It's Friday afternoon and I can already feel the desire for a glass of wine tonight calling... But nope, this weekend I will meet the challenge head on!! I have no alcohol in the house (and no social ocasions planned which helps) and I have bought some soda water to drink with a slice of fresh lemon instead  Good…

I'm only on Level 1 but already the repetition of the voice annoys me so I just do it with the sound down.... LOL Awesome, am dead keen to get into some lifting but working on losing weight first and doing cardio and at home strength work until I hit some goals in that dept. Have also decided that I will give up alcohol…
