  • I don't have the push up bars but like Tony showed in the video you can use dumbbells as push up bars and that works for me! Paul
  • Hi Everyone! I'm Paul and I currently live in the state of Michigan. I have completed two 25K races, 1 10K, 1 5K, and got thru 1 marathaon...just barely. I need to get rid of my belly fat once and for all and I'm hoping this program along with low carb, high protein diet is the way to go. Also I signed up to do a Tough…
  • Yoga is seriously 90 minutes??? Wow...I only have so much time in the morning... Is it really worth it waking up a half hour earlier to do Yoga or should I just do some cardio on those days??
  • I did chest and back and ab ripper x today. I couldn't even do one chin up and I got about half way up on a pull up. That ab routine was unreal....needless to say I couldn't do a lot of those. I have a loooong way to go...
  • Awesome!!! I'm doing the one in April in OH...that's the closest to me since they haven't come to MI yet. I'll see your husband there!
  • Would it be fine just to eat high protein low carbs? I'm gonna be doing this starting Monday and I hope that would work.
  • I'm starting this program in January. I want to get overall much more fit and toned and drop fat. Is this the best way to go...doing this alone or should I supplement with more cardio?
  • I just got the dvds today.... Does this system actually work? I signed up to do a Tough Mudder in April.. Will this program get me physically ready for Tough Mudder? I need something that will get me in the best shape ever....from what I have heard this is the way to go, correct? Paul
  • I've had mine since March and it works wonders. Don't have to worry about tracking and figuring calories because it does it all. I would highly recommend. Makes it so easy to know if I need to eat more or less calories or work out more to hit my calorie burn. Paul
  • I've been using mine since the spring of this year. It's a useful tool for knowing how many calories you burn. I got a free one year subscription. I like using it but I think eventually I will stop using it. I pretty much know at this point how many calories I burn now and how many calories I should be eating to either…
  • I'm signed up for the April Tough Mudder looking for training tips. I want to be fully prepared. What type of training would be best for this? Lifting weights? Cardio?
  • I just signed up for the Tough Mudder event in April for Michigan/Ohio...I'm hoping to get training tips from this thread. Should we be focusing on building up our cardio levels or our over-all strength? I have not done one of these before but I have competed in two 25K races, 1 10k, 1 5k, and a marathon....and having done…
  • ahem.... ahhh...uummm err... how graphic do you want us to get with our responses LOL.... I guess I'll just say YES. ;)
  • Like anything else the BodyBugg is a great tool, just like with a HRM or any of the others, it will help you to monitor/track how well you are doing during the day. I find it is a great motivation tool. I see how many calories I've burned for the day and if I am lacking I will get on the bike or treadmill and burn off a…
  • been using my bodybugg for the past 2 weeks now and absolutely love it! It makes it so easy to know whether or not I need to exercise more or not during the day to hit my calorie burn or not and if I go over I know I can eat a little more!!! Keep using it, it really helps!!! Also like anything else make sure you have your…
  • Good advice/tips there. I just did my version session of HIIT on my treadmill. Did just over 30 minutes walking at 3 mph and then running at 7/7.5/8 mph. 8 was pushing it for me but hey, it's about getting out of your comfort zone right? Man, I don't even wanna know what I will look like after doing this for a few…
  • Where do I find this and is this one that needs to be stirred? I was raised on no stirring, so I kinda wanna keep it that way..lazy I suppose :)
  • Last time I checked I was a guy.... let me know if you need any "guy" advice
  • I'm getting a treadmill in a week or 2. I was wondering how do I do "HIIT" on the treadmill? I that where you just run as fast as you can for 2 minutes and then walk to recover for 30 seconds? Do this straight for 30 minutes or so?
  • just found this thread. Before I joined MFP I weighed at 276, as of yesterday I'm down to 243.8. My goal if to eventually see 164. Paul
  • I just bought a box of the skinny cows at my local Sam's Club. My whole family loves them and on140 cals! Maybe I'll put a little peanut butter on them too!
  • bump...it's prob gonna take me hours and hours to read/research all this. LOL
  • My wife and I are also debating whether or not to buy this. In our case we'd have to buy 2 so this would be an expensive piece of equipment. I saw online we can get now 10 months free of the website service...but after that we would have to pay. We both still have a lot of weight to drop...any others say whether or not…
  • Anyway do MMA? That looks really interesting from what I can tell it incorporates a little bit of everything. One of these days my goal is to take up some form of Martial Arts as well.
  • Thank you for saying this. I am 32 years old and have never had high blood pressure or high cholesterol. In fact based on my last physical I am perfectly fine. I am one who is not really concerned about sodium, and as far as I can tell don't need to be. I figure as long as I lose the fat and burn the calories off I'll be…
  • Hey there may I join? My birthday is on Halloween and I'll be 33. I'd love to drop 60 by then. Current weigh 248.7 goal weight 164 I use stationary bike, elliptical, and just starting 30 day shred.
  • Like everybody else here, in the morning, and I try to be naked. Usually on Friday or Saturday. I did just buy a measuring tape yesterday so now I'm hoping to see how many inches I lose, from what I hear the scale isn't always the best way to measure progress.
  • Yeah see my last treadmill I got about 8 or so years ago, so no I-fit, just wondering if that's worth it? I'm a big fan and I have a lot of respect for Jillian so I could see myself using that along with regular work-outs
  • If not too late to join, married, 32 years old, coming up on 11 years in June. 2 kids and son will be 6 later this month and daughter shall be 4 next month. Paul
