Milk, Herbalife, grapes, some protein powders and carrots are not Keto especially when you are just starting. I would suggest Keto Connect, Low Carb Maven or Diet Doctor websites to learn more about the Keto woe. You can also just do low carb which Keto is of course with higher carbs. You need to set your diary up to show…

The active meds are not the issue but the fillers. Many who are hypothyroid have gut issues and tolerate certain fillers better than others. A good example is when Armour Thyroid reformulated their fillers from dextrose to cellulose-many couldn't tolerate and digest as well and labs and symptoms worsened.

For thyroid testing you need free T3, free T4, TPO Antibodies, Vitamin D, and ferritin (not on a regular iron panel) to accurately diagnose thyroid disease. The frees are the amount of hormone unbound in the bloodstream available for the body to use.

I'm a longtime dieter and I tend to forget that someone posting might be a first time dieter-so I don't post if I think it will get gnarly with them because of my lack of patience. That being said I still think people should read and research before posting then if they still truly don't understand something there are…

Do you have any illnesses or are on any meds?

The testing you should be looking at is free T4 and free T3 levels not total T4 and total T3. Your free T4 should be in the upper 3/4 of the range and so should your free T3. I've had my thyroid removed and had thyroid disease most of my life with some of my labs never getting out of the normal range thyroid disease is…

Try supplementing your diet with cod liver oil or red krill.

Yes untreated hypothyroidism can stall weight loss. You also need your vitamin d and ferritin levels checked as well.

I second the omega 3 suggestion. My son was diagnosed at 3 very hyper no learning problems and now he is 25 and doing well and chooses not to take meds as adult. I did a lot of research and the brain really benefits from omega 3 fats.

The op has stated her hair has always fallen out. Talk to your Dr and get a full checkup. Thyroid disease, anemia, low ferritin and other things can cause hair loss.

There are magazines and cookbooks about lighter calorie meals and recipes. Try getting some and going over them with your wife-life is too short to eat food you are not enjoying. If you can't afford them go to your local library-flavorful meals might help raise your spirits just a small bit.

Mine was at 40 start of a long perimenopause and fibroids-time for s checkup maybe?

I don't have cheat meals or call it that rather I will have a day where I eat whatever I like at maintenance calories. Someone told me years ago don't lose weight how you can't maintain it and it has stuck with me.

15 grams of carbs is strict keto lol. Most keto diet gurus state 20 grams of carbs daily or 5% of your total daily calories. Lazy keto is when you raise levels to 10% and above.
-
Since you have over 100 lbs to lose you probably need to raise your daily calories. Too big of a deficit can make you hungry and cause bingeing and possibly make you tired and irritable.
-
No difference for me either

Try the Sit and Be Fit Program or Leslie Sansones Walk Away the Pounds it is adaptable it's a DVD or online program. I had good results starting with these when I was ill.

Google fat bomb recipes, add avocado to your meals or butter and heavy cream if possible. If you can stomach it you can also take a spoonful of coconut oil with your meds
-
I sweeten with Splenda and add fruit

You dont have to do iF with keto it doesnt help everyone. Just dont do IF the keto police will not come after you.
-
Brew your coffee with coconut extract and measure out half and half or heavy cream and sweetener per cup to control calories

Also if you have several illnesses aggressive weight loss might not be the best thing of course it depends on your illnesses. Are you on any medications that can slow weight loss.
-
Do you have Hashis? And are your thyroid meds optimized not just the low end of normal? Have you had your ferritin and Vitamin D levels tested-defiencies in these areas often go hand in hand with thyroid disease.
