Eating and not eating. I don't know If I should elaborate for my experience. It's just that its not until just recent that for the first time I'm actually committing myself to eating about 1k above maintenance. I applied A good macro formula to it, which I was a skeptic of because it was very high carb, and wouldn't you…

I don't know about Sacks, but I get these little lumps/bumps like the diameter size of the tip of a pinky finger pushing out or something. I had heard that mine are little fat deposits but I have no idea why. I also have them only in my upper abs. interesting.

Bleh! There is no right or wrong, with exception to competition. Look, if you feel them quads burning, than they're being worked period. sure there may always be a better or a preferred method. A Parallel is a good ROM (Range of motion). I personally use to be able to go ATG (A** To Ground) but after a sciatic nerve issue…

This is too common, Honestly though you have to put'em in their place but within a tactful manner. OR how about this. True story, earlier this week at a "Glance" I noticed a fellow female warrior doing lunges. The back of her shirt read "Piss off I'm working" Ear buds in, and wearing a feather-lite Nike cap with the brim…

Most people expect me to tell them the name of the magic pill or something. I just simply say sensible meals and exercise. Than I suggest MFP, and explain lightly how it works and how it changed my life. I don't break it down into science anymore. I know they don't really care about it

Try BSN's Syntha 6. Many flavors. There use to be a time when this was all I would use because it was the absolute best with water. Definitely had a creamy texture across your palette. I switched do to cost per sevings.

Sloppy Joes! Oh how I miss these messy little Happiness filled buns. Dripping goodness all over my hands. Some ruffles bbq chips providing good company to the grand flavorgasm ball. A Dr. Pepper to splash your taste buds with refreshing delight. I don't even know why I don't have them anymore, but it just so happens I took…

LOL, You beat me to it! All of them! (Drops the mic)

Again as previously stated more than once. IMO I'd go maintenance and really put your heart into lifting. You've probably been in deficit for too long anyway and it's done it's job. However it's likely that your metabolism has adapted to your routine so trick it up and enjoy maintenance. As long as you don't cheat yourself…

I've been bouncing between maintenance and deficit (1800-2600) for two years now, and now that I've just recently decided I want and need a 3000k diet for my goals, I find myself feeling bloated throughout most of the day. However today I'm starting to feel slightly less of it, and I'm still on the same notch on my belt.…

I love soy milk as it brings out the best flavor in all my shakes but I recently stopped because I've heard it lowers testosterone. Which isn't so great on the male end. So I just occasionally buy almond now.

If the last post was night shift than this post is Grave Yard, and it's my Friday at work. Can I go home now?

IMO for good general tone I'd have to agree with at least 3 times as previously stated. You could go everyday even if you'd like and build a great routine rotating target areas to work on for strength development. Just make sure you're eating plenty of good food. training hard and under eating in your case may be counter…

IMO The deficit is definitely true, but when you play with the macros, that's more like your fine tuning knob. I love bread. however I do limit it in my daily diet. Everyone's thoughts can be different just because we all have our own individual comfort zones as far as self perception in the way we look and feel. Also some…

easier and faster to burn fat and lean out. If you say you're exercising than I would at least stay at a maintenance. It completely sucks trying to get a good pump at the gym while in a serious calorie deficit.

As mentioned a few times above. Remember to drink lots of water when taking on more fiber otherwise you create the opposite effect of what you may be expecting. Also it's always a good idea to have a bit of fruit in the morning if it fits your macros. It lubricates up the intestines to start your day of everything else…

just try hitting them weights with attitude at a maintenance level and give it a few weeks. You might be surprised. In many cases we even lose more weight when we go above maintenance by a few hundred, along with a great diet and strict training regiment. Here's what may happen in your current situation saying you decide…

I'd been using the Polar FT-7 (chest strap) for a few years until I lost my watch many months back. Recently I've been really wanting to get something more modern and was feeling a bit torn between the Fitbit charge HR and the Polar A360. I did do my research first and found that for my strength training purposes the polar…

5'9" 172ish and to remain 172. but only reach 7% body fat. Started at 176 lbs and 14%-15% Currently at 9%

For the longest time I couldn't go to sleep on empty. the satisfaction of feeling full aided my drowsiness. after you learn to avoid those cravings for enough times, the feeling tends to go away. The beginning of a dies is just always the worst. But when I do get those rare moments I always went for peanut butter which can…

The fruit carbs, Commonly called simple carbs will spike the blood sugar/insulin as oppose to whole grain complex. I prefer mostly whole grain as I tend to feel fuller longer due to the higher fiber content. You can get great fiber out of fruits as well but not from 100% juice. However it won't stop me from enjoying my…

Best most accurate method I have is to do it in the morning upon waking up and after your first bathroom visit if possible. this will give you your absolute dry weight before taking in any solids or fluids for the day. Do it the exact same way every time. Throughout a day a person can fluctuate at least 5 pounds or more…

I just lose motivation from logging. But I'll cry if I have to miss a gym day.

Even in my mid 30's i'm still learning new things about my nutrition and training every year. by the time I figure it all out, I'll be too efing old to lift. But you figured it all out before it was too late. You're a winner. I don't know what the **** you're selling but I'll take two.

I use to eat 5 little ceaser's slices easy. and still wash it down with about 32 oz of soda, and bread stix. Now I get two slices and am ready to call the quits because I feel full quicker. I use to really love that feeling of getting so bloated that you just need to lie down for a while and relax. Man how times have…

Just start the day big and count it all out when it's done, but while throwing my breakfast together i'm doing it with a good sense of awareness towards proteins, complex carbs and fiber. The only other meal I hit hard without worry is post workout. Than count after. everything else falls into place. I continue to count…

Just like previously mentioned by jorocka. After some time at playing this counting game wheather it's for calories, carbs, proteins, fats sugars, etc. Eventually you just build up a "good sense of awareness" Obviously anything you know is deep fried or sweet and saucy is not going to have a good nutritional profile. It's…

Crushed Ice, water/milk (2/1 ratio) 1-2 scoops of favorite powder, 1 banana, 2 blackberries, 1 raw egg, 1/2 serv peanutbutter, teaspoon instant coffee, pinch of cinamon, and deppending on how i'm feeling/planning I may toss in some whole oat cheerios or even a tblspn of olive oil. For my personal needs/goals I figure if I…

sit ups are fine. Great basic routine for tone and core strength. There is absolutely no type of exercise that targets fat in specific areas is what was meant above. I would rate it at a 5 out of 10 for effectiveness. it is ideal for starting out and once your beyond the soreness after a two weeks or so than you can began…
