Hi, I restarted in January at 325 lbs. MFP definitely works. log every day & surround yourself with supportive people who are working hard to get healthy and will tell you the truth. it truly enhances your mfp experience. I am currently down to 289 and in a much better place, physically and emotionally. i cant imagine how…

Definitely take something & that bath should help. Make sure to keep moving. if you sit still you will feel worse (not necessarily exercise, but definitely dont veg out on the couch too long). lastly, take something before your next class. it will help with the soreness some. kudos for starting to workout. the soreness is…

you can also make a batch on the weekend and freeze them in individual portions. Take one out the night before so it defrosts and heat it up when you get to work. I would make large batches like this with veggies mixed in. but watch the veggies you use, and how you cook them. if they have a high water content your eggs may…

Wow, you look great! this is such an inspiration to me because our height is the same and my starting weight was only six pounds more than yours. Its so hard to imagine what I would look like at a certain weight. now i have a better idea. 175 is my goal weight, which I will adjust if I need to when I get there. you must be…

Flat out is good, i use that to make pizzas. I just discovered Joseph's Lavash (spelling?) bread yesterday and I am in love with it already. 100 calories for a flatbread that is slightly larger than a piece of paper.

I think you should eat the sandwich. I had the same thing happen to me this morning. I usually make my own breakfast sandwich each night for the following day. What I have learned is that I have to have a standard fast food back up. So check out the nutritional info of the places you like and pick out a couple things you…

Artic Zero with Fat Free Redi Whip. I used to eat up to a pint of ice cream every night, with tons of whipped cream. I have found that Artic Zero has helped curb that. 1/2 cup is 37 calories & i still get me ice cream fix. My other trick is to make sure I eat several times a day. If I dont, its more likely that i will give…

For me, I like both. I think the scale gives me a more immediate reaction, but when the scale stops moving its great to know that inches are being lost. I used to only weigh, but my coworker talked me into measuring and what a difference. :-)

I have two recomendations for you. the first is to get yourself a heart rate monitor. that way you will truly know how many calories youve burned, no matter what machine or exercise youre doing. secondly, if your not already you want to start doing some weight training a couple days a week. it will really help your weight…

im lactose intolerant and had no intention of switching to almond milk. i tried soy, but it upset my stomach as well. When I realized it had only 40 calories a cup i gave it a try a few weeks ago. I love it in my cereal, and did i mention its only 40 calories a cup! try it with an open mind, it definitely tastes different…

I've lost about 50lbs several times. I lose my motivation and before I know it, ive gained the weight back and then some. This time around, my mindset is more about maintenance. I am also working harder this go round. I am seeing results and its keeping me focused. I think right now, what is working the best for me, are…

I recently made the switch to unsweetened plain almond milk in the last couple of weeks. I bought unsweetened vanilla almond milk by accident, but i think that tastes more like regular milk than the plain. An easy way to switch over would be to start with having it in combination with another food, like a bowl of cereal.…
