I haven't been logging herbs or spices either, you're right - I just don't use enough for them to make that much difference, and I try never to be right up to the wire on my daily allowance anyway!

I work on the basis that it's a few less calories than an actual chocolate bar and more importantly makes me feel a lot better in myself. The protein helps keep me going too. You could do a lot worse than Nakd bars for snacks *side-eye at 'Morning Bars'*. Have you tried the Banana Bread one? SO GOOD.
-
I generally aim to have a breakfast in around the 350 calorie region, including protein, to feel full for the morning. My go-to is a bowl of instant porridge with a boiled egg and a white coffee.

I need this in my life

I'm in the UK. Each lane swims on a different side (to reduce the probability of bashed limbs under the lane ropes, I think) - there are little boards at the end of the lane. The big things which annoy me when I swim are: - people going REALLY slowly taking the entire width of the lane. If you know you're slow, tuck in a…

I'm currently wearing a pair of New Look jeans which are a good length on me, but I'm an inch shorter than you with short legs for my height. Boden stock everything in long - and check out Gap (though sadly their talls are only online).
-
I agree with Boden! I love their stuff.

Do you still have your calorie goal set at losing 1lb per week or whatever you've had it as before? Maybe dial it down a notch, so to half a lb per week?
-
I always seem to get ads for pregnancy tests and nappies on YouTube... I've stopped being disturbed by it and started assuming it's led by one of my housemates' internet usage (I'm a 20 year old student with no boyfriend in a houseshare)
-
I'm doing it! My minimum distance is, um, 1 mile :p
-
In the last four weeks or so of being under the weather, I've somehow lost six pounds despite all the comfort eating... I'm not complaining (especially since it's brought me to the 'normal' BMI category and acheived my 2013 goal), but if it continues I will be quite worried

I had mine with some stewed apple and caramel sauce this morning :D
-
I totally get that! Next summer I want to be able to wear one of those very simple jersey maxi-dresses.
-
Buy a few pieces of classic, expensive, clothing! Whenever people talk about buying a £££ dress or jacket they always say 'oh yes, I'll wear it for years' but I didn't want to be the size I was for a long time so I didn't want to do that. When I reach my goal size, however, I will *want* to be wearing those things for…

I calorie count and I think it's a brilliant way to lose weight, but I make myself have non-counting days every so often, and even non-counting weeks where the aim is just to maintain.
-
It would have been prevented had the perpetrator not been a *kitten*. (I totally understand why that makes you want to carry, just saying that the need to carry doesn't exist without stupid entitled *kitten* who think they can do what they want. )

Also, is it just me who clicked on this thread thinking it was going to be about sanitary towels? :P

Could you try pepper spray and one of those rape alarm things which sounds at 100 dB? I know that during a run I wouldn't be able to shoot straight anyway! Edit - as the poster above said, millions of us in the rest of the world run without guns, and we're fine! Maybe consider moving to a country with sane gun regulations…

As someone above said, if you're bigger it may take longer to change sizes - that's because the gaps between sizes are larger at the upper end of the spectrum. (Apparently big people don't need well-fitting clothes...)

Back to the original question about logging steps or not - I don't log the walking that I do during the course of the day, as I feel that's accounted for in my 'Lightly Active' setting in MFP. I do, however, log the times that I go out specifically 'for a walk.'
-
You forgot the black pudding ;)
-
How about when I worked at McDonalds and was given a free meal every day in my lunch/dinner break? That was very cheap!
-
Oh, you mean like Chicken Tikka Masala, that famous British dish? (I can't remember whether it comes from Burmingham or Leciester, but it's part of the rich palate of British 'Indian' food)

My father's grandmother used to say: "Pah, London! Makes your feet hurt!"
-
I would call a US10 a UK12-14 which I agree would be slim on my 5'8.5" frame! I have proper childbearing hips so I just wouldn't be able to get below that and look healthy, I don't think. Right now I'm a UK 14-16 so I guess a US12? My Banana Republic suit jackets are US 10s. I like to get children's portions when I can - I…

BATH BATH BATH! Especially if you're a fan of Jane Austen, the Romans, or hills!
-
Ooh, nice to know that's possible and healthy at this height - I'm 5'8.5" and aiming to be around a 12-14. How much do you weigh, if you don't mind my asking?
-
OOOOH, exciting! I'm in the same 14-16 gulf at the moment. Did you know that the gaps between sizes are bigger at the higher end of the spectrum? Have a look at the Dorothy Perkins size chart :p

I think the mass transit is what makes the difference - you walk to the bus or train stop and then around wherever you're going, and of course sometimes you walk to a different station than you started at. Personally, I don't log the incidental walking around town doing errands, but if I spend a day in London walking all…

Isn't being over on protein a good thing? I'm nearly always under and I know I ought to get more protein into my diet!
