I'm low carb but I already have T2D. You can add me though. :)

Does anyone know of a no bake recipe? I have a low carb pudding pie thing I can make for Sunday but cheesecake sounds good and my oven is broke.

So far its been my experience that retraining the brain is the toughest part.

My calorie levels are starting to drop now that my appetite has leveled out.

Weight is 265. Still. I know sooner get it down and it bounces back. I'm working on netting 20 carb grams per day. I think I'm getting around 40 ish right now. I've noticed my appetite has leveled out a good bit so I'm optimistic that both the carbs and weight will adjust accordingly.

Maybe start with dumbbells or just the barbell by itself?

Apparently not, lol. I'm not upset at all, mostly I find you amusing and your insults make you sound a bit whiney. Perhaps we are both misreading tone? *MFP* STATES its primary purpose, on the very first page as a weight loss tool. My original post was a quote they listed as their objective from their "about" page. Its not…

Are you capable of posting without insulting someone? Just curious. I'm not making assumptions. MFP lists weight loss on the very first page, before one even signs up. Its not a giant leap for newbies to think MFP is about weight loss.

I pack mine in the morning with frozen berries and flax seeds. By lunch time they are thawed and juicy and I mix them in. I usually add some Sweet N Low too. Sometimes I add cocoa powder, but not very often. Mixed with the berries its very good.
-
Most newbies won't see those other forums at first, though. MFP identifies itself as a weight loss site asking people to sign up. I KNOW others use it for other purposes but it doesn't negate the fact that MFP markets itself for weight loss. I don't think people are necessarily less than educated when they are Googling…

<<shudder>> Can't see ruining a perfectly good 'smore. I've never been a fan of peeps, even before low carb. I've heard all my life how weird this makes me, lol.

No need for a pissing contest and I'm not trying to debate. I just found it interesting and I think its where a lot of the confusion comes from. If you're looking for a calorie counter because you're wanting to lose weight (and I think you're correct, the majority probably are) and the above pops up you're going to think…

Interesting thing about MFP, from their "about" section of their website. "Losing weight isn't easy - we know. But with a membership to MyFitnessPal.com, you'll get the tools you need to successfully take weight off - and keep it off. And best of all, everything on our site is 100% FREE. So put away your credit card -…

This, only I add veggies to breakfast. I'm LCHF and T2D, not PCOS. Low carb may not be the only way to lose weight with PCOS but from what I've read its helped a lot of women with that issue not only lose weight but feel better overall. Please come and join us in the low carb group.

Maybe try adding some healthy fat to your breakfast. An egg with avocado, for example.

Fitness = good health, or it should, but what that means is different for everyone, hence the different responses.

I seem to recall WW actually saying this. Don't try to do WW and Atkins at the same time, for example. That said, I'm guessing most people don't gain weight on carrot sticks and apples. Just my opinion, though.

I'm not vegetarian but I am the only low carber in a household of four. What I do is make a protein, a starch, and a low carb veggie or two. Perhaps you could do the same, but backward. Make the veggie the main dish, like the stir fry mentioned above, add your starch if you want or need it, and make or have him make his…

You're welcome. I have a couple people coming that need to eat low carb for health reasons but probably won't. I'm hoping if I have some interesting and colorful options they'll at least eat a little low carb. Probably right before they eat the fudge they bring with them, but whatever floats their boat in the end.

Quack. Plus he's annoying.
-
Are you eating things with "added fiber?" Any of the Fiber One, Special K, Slim Fast, and Atkins bars will make me bloat really bad. The "added protein" usually makes me nauseous.

Greek yogurt with berries and a few peanuts.
-
Ham, scalloped potatoes and corn for the carb eaters, cheesy cauliflower and zoodle pesto for the low carbers. Probably rolls. Not sure about dessert yet.
-
Glad you found something you like. Too high carb for me, though. I find eggs + cream cheese to be healthier.

Squash is very versatile, whether its summer, spaghetti, zucchini, etc. Most of it goes well with pasta sauces or just sautéed. I make a dish with raw zucchini shredded with pesto sauce and grape tomatoes that goes over well. Its certainly a good substitute for pasta salad.

They did this last year at my job. I never saw so many people crash dieting or taking pills all at one time. When its a contest it becomes about winning rather than getting healthier.
-
Good thing we have MFP to set us strait. Or I should say those who aren't low carb on MFP.

Great job! There are some massive hills where I live too and I'm hoping to get better at climbing them this year.
