Eating less calories actually promotes longivety. In certain Asian countries people live on less than 1500 calories a day to be very old.

One week is not enough time. Weight fluctuates. If you're about to have your period, you hold on to water weight. Exercise could make you hold on to water weight as well, because the muscles need water to repair. Otherwise: with that amount of calories AND exercise, you should definitely be losing weight. So either you're…

Here's one of my inspirations who has had surgery for her breasts: http://imgonnamakeachange.tumblr.com/tagged/surgery I personally went from an F to a mere C cup. I also have some loose skin but it's not as bad as one would expect. It becomes rather apparent when leaning forward, like on all fours. I might contemplate a…

Meal timing doesn't matter. Calories do. You won't gain weight from eating before bedtime if you are in a deficit.
-
Nope, lost over 50 lbs by just dieting. These last kilos are a ***** though, so I started working out. I also want to improve my endurance, so there's that.
-
Nothing. I go there every week, sometimes more than once so I make it my habit not to eat anything at the cinema.
-
Not losing weight means you're eating too much. Either you're not counting correctly or overestimating exercise burns.
-
Yummy!
-
He lost a leg, I doubt that qualifies as OK.

You need to eat back calories because otherwise your deficit will become too big and you might lose more lean body mass. You want to lose fat, not muscle. Make sure you eat enough protein as well. I recommend eating back 80% of your exercise calories, because I find they're usually overestimated. Unless you have a heart…

You could try olive oil or not baking much at all, but I doubt coconut oil is the culprit.
-
Are you eating back exercise calories? If so, maybe you're overestimating your burns.
-
You can't gain on a deficit. It means you're not in a deficit (or you're not gaining fat).
-
This. Anything that contributes to going over your calories could be making your fat. Usually it's the things that don't fit into a normal eating pattern, such as drinking on the weekends. So alcohol can definitely make you fat.

Ketosis is great, but you need to carb up during it. You can't go 6 weeks without carbs.
-
Couple of times a week because 1) They're delish 2) Potassium 3) Vitamins 4) Good snack
-
First of all, you should be eating more (since you're a guy AND you're exercising). Secondly, you're going to lack essential vitamins if you keep this up, but you will lose weight regardless.
-
Very bad advice. In the end it does not matter if you burn fat or not, you just need to burn as much calories as possible. That is at a higher intensity. You'll lose more fat in the long run if you burn more.
-
You need to eat your exercise calories. So obviously you'll eat more than 1200.
-
You lost 8 pounds. Gaining 1 pound does not mean that you gained 1 pound of fat. It could be water weight and other things.
-
Honestly, then calorie counting might not be right for you. This is how people develop eating disorders.
-
False. It's a myth. Lots of people get great results with intermittent fasting.
-
If you stick to it, 1 lbs/0.5 kg per week is the target you should have when counting calories. It is not advisable to cut more calories from your diet. If you do want to lose more, exercise is the way to go. But 0.5 kg per week is really good progress.

I would say that eating what you're eating, he actually sets you up for a binge because you're starving. And that isn't very productive for weightloss either.
-
Nobody should eat that little, period. If the deficit needs to be bigger, you exercise. You do not cut out extra micronutrients!
-
Yeah and subway is always healthy.
-
Honestly I don't think that chicken resembles chicken. Just look at how the mc nuggets are made, I don't trust anything from mc donalds... except for fries maybe (not that it's healthy) and milkshakes.
-
BMR is kind of arbitrary. If you're sedentary, you can usually eat below BMR without much problem. I think the main problem is that on a certain amount of calories, you won't get enough micronutrients as they are not in fat. But there are some studies in obese people that do a water fast and take supplements. They wouldn't…

Honestly, I think sugar CAN have some part in it. My mother was addicted to sugar. I found out when she lost around 20 lbs by cutting out caloric drinks. She used to drink 6 cups of very sweet chocolate milk and now she stopped drinking it, her sugar cravings became a lot less and her taste has improved a 100%. She won't…

Over 50 lbs, took me two years. A lot of periods in between I'd be maintaining because I got tired of watching what I eat. But then after a month or so I would get back on track (without having gained weight, which is important). So I could've done it a lot faster, but I think this way I'll keep it off and it works for me.
