I use the big Gold Gym's body ball while watching TV to do situps or whatever....it's fun and different. Better than just sitting...

I'm on the pill and it hasn't caused any halt to my weight loss. There was one which made my blood pressure sky rocket, so watch your blood pressure even if you aren't having any symptoms.

Try the free pedometer app...I use it all the time and really like it.

When I had a stall, I took a week off from exercise, but continued to eat right. The next week my metabolism was rebooted and the weight started coming off again. If you don't want to take a week off, I would suggest changing up your routine. Maybe doing more of one exercise than another. Having the same routine every time…

I've been doing cardio at least 3 times a week for almost a hour since February and have lost 35 pounds. I do my own strength training at least 1-2 times a week. I've gained muscles and lost fat/inches. Maybe it's the different ways our body responds to certain exercises. I'd like to know more about this topic, too!

I only lose about 2 pounds a week...so that's only 8 pounds a month. I think you are right on time! You don't want to lose the weight too fast and risk losing muscle mass rather than just extra fat. Keep up the good work, though. I think you should be very proud of your results so far!

Amazing!!!! Keep up the great work!

That is what I do too...when I go out, I tend to over estimate just to try to get as close as possible for correct calorie counting.

As long as your aren't eating junk food, soda, or candy, I wouldn't worry about it. If you exercise, it will add more of your sugar allowance for the day if that will ease your mind. I'm always over almost every day from the amount of fruit I eat. No major worries! You can always hide it! Good luck!

Hello from another New Orleanian...feel free to add me! :-)

I had Achilles tendinitis for about two weeks..extremely painful and didn't workout for almost a week and a half. I still wear an ace bandage around my ankle at times when I know I'll be doing high impact exercises. I found that taking tylenol and icing it after exercise helps with the inflammation. Mine resolved on it's…

I love my Kinect! I use the Active2 all the time...I make my own workout with the routines that I like the most. There are some on that game that I just can't do like the side arm plank and such...too hard! The Dance Central game is fun...it has a workout mode that tracts calories burned while you are dancing...by far, my…

I've been having the same problem! There is a low sugar granola that I tried...but it still didn't give any flavor to the yogurt. Blueberries worked well...but again made the sugar content too high. Hope to find something soon!

More outgoing and have increased self esteem! I enjoy shopping and trying on cuter clothes! Overall happiness has greatly improved...thanks to those endorphins I get from exercising every day!
-
I totally agree...always works for me!

Maybe you should bump up your caloric intake for a few days and then bring it back down and continue to workout. That will reset your metabolism. 1200 is the bare minimum...so maybe a spike in calories will help you over the plateau! :-)

Thanks for the article...interesting!

I just got over Achilles tendonitis myself. I've been doing the stationary bike alot...doesn't' seem to aggravate the ankle. I bought an ankle brace to wear all the time. Seems to be helping. Get well soon!
-
I just had that problem last week...I did the recumbant bike, which was low impact. I wrapped my ankle for the first week and it really stabalized it. Be sure to ice and elevate to reduce swelling..it'll heal pretty fast. Hope for a fast recovery!

Do a good workout for the day! That's what I do after I have a food lapse! Keep you head up...just look at the big picture!
-
I eat the Smart Balance peanut butter...it's really good!

I've lost 26 pounds and finally went down one size! It's frustrating, I know! I don't really know what it's about. I hold alot of weight around my hips, so I can buy clothes a size smaller in the waist, but they won't go over my hips. Just keep on keepin' on...we will eventually see the results we want! Good luck!

I am a big emotional eater, too! When I'm bored...watching TV...socializing! I have small dumbells and a body ball so I can do exercising while watching TV and just sitting around the house which keeps me from eating! Sometimes, I can't resist the urge!
-
Have you thought about ankle weights? That might do some toning in your legs since you are up walking all day...get a pedometer and track your steps!
-
Totally with you! Let's do this!
-
Wow..you look awesome! Thanks for being my motivation for the day!
-
Amazing job!!!! Way to push yourself! Kudos!

Torrid and Old Navy! I've even found cute work stuff at TJ Maxx...which is really affordable!
