I Know Exercise is Important...

So, do you think that a mini trampoline is something worth getting? I know I can just simply jump for a bit and even use a jump rope, but just something I'd like to consider. Secondly, you've heard of the Firm Express, right? Do you find it effective or do you think it's a waste of time? I know The Firm has been around for a long time, so I'm assuming it's good.
Is there any other equipment I should look into? I'm not really looking into any other dvds since I have quite a bit, but I'm open to suggestions. I really need to get back into the swing of things.

I use the big Gold Gym's body ball while watching TV to do situps or whatever....it's fun and different. Better than just sitting...0

A mini trampoline is definitely worth it. You can really work up a sweat on those. My friend's daughter taught a class on it at our gym and it was lots of fun. I would imagine if you research on it you would be able to find some exercises for you to follow. Personally I like the eliptical, but that's just me. Good luck in your search!0

I use trampolines in my kids bootcamp. Only because you can't really put kids on a treadmill. However, you can get great variety out of it. It is great also to use while your watching TV instead of just laying on the couch. I sometimes use my step and do steps the whole time I watch the biggest loser. You can also use it as a prop to do burpees or mountain climbers-some other stuff I do with the kids. This modifys it so you aren't directly on the ground so it makes it a bit easier. I bought one recently on a craigs list type site; They usually go for about 20 used. It isn't a bad investment if you are going to use it.0

I think a mini trampoline and jump rope is a good idea... Perhaps an exercise ball and even some free weights later on. I don't know much about The Firm Express.. I did view some of the older ones before, but just didn't care for it much.0

If you have the space in your home and the money, I recommend an elliptical. I LOVE mine!! It's always my back up plan for working out, like if I have plans to play tennis and my friend cancels, or I want to go walking and it's raining... I just jump on and go. It's an amazing workout.0

I just bought the trampoline - the one I bought it comes with a monitor for jumps, distance, calories, etc., plus an instructional dvd and arm bands for circuit training. After an 8 minute circuit training session last night my abs are SORE - can definitely tell it worked. I thought jumping would be easy, but I guess you have to be more coordinated than I am! Even without me losing balance, It was also much more difficult than I expected. Like I said, I just got it, but I definitely know I used it last night! Good luck!~0

hand weights of various sizes would be a good addition as well.0

Resistance bands take up less room and I hear it works your muscles really good. Just invested in some and am hoping to learn some exercises real soon.
I love the mini trampoline idea, but I have no space in my apt....0 -
Mini trampolines remind me of the '90s. And the movie Fried Green Tomatoes.
TOWANDAAAA!
Also, go for it. Trampolines are fun. :flowerforyou:0 -
There are lots of things you can do with a mini trampoline AKA "rebounder" .... look up the brand Urban Rebounder to find videos.
Kickboxing, bootcamp, hip hop .... all sorts of videos for this0 -
