This week I smashed through my 'comfortable weight. I always get to about 141-142 start feeling myself a little too much then start getting lax with my workouts and eating junk. Then before I know it I'm 20lbs up and all morose about what could have been. Not this time! Not only did I blow past 142 but I'm now down to…

You can totally see the difference! Awesome job, keep it up! I wish i had mustered up the courage to take a photo when I started up in February.

You look great! Congrats on your successes!

I've lost a 2 year old and not in a bad parenting way lol. That really puts some perspective on how hard I've been working. Thank you for posting this!

THIS! HOLY SMOKES, THIS ALLLLL DDAAAAYYYY! I'm down to 139 and all i care about are abs like yours. I've been eating 1200 cals, eating back 100-150 cal of any exercise i do. That consists of 1 weekly personal training session, 3 days of SL 5x5, 2 days of HIIT/jogging and 1 day of rest but I can't seem to get rid of the…

My friend gets married in March. It's a destination wedding so it will also double as a couples getaway. My goal is to wear a 2 piece and have some serious abs. I've already hit got my initial goal of 140 now I'm shooting for another 10 lbs but I'd rather build muscle so I'm not quite if 10 lbs is the right number.

Amazing progress, great job on all your hard work.

Congrats on your transformation and finding what works for you. You look incredible.

What I'm reading is that HIIT is an excellent fat and calorie burner which is the reason I posted and asked for suggestions on a good set of exercises to do. I want to get rid of the last of the fat I have left as well and reap the benefits of the added overall strength gains. Last I checked these forums were for folks to…

I'm following the 5x5 SL program. I try to get on at least 1 rest day in a week. I work out alone and honestly get scared to progress too fast then fail and have the loaded barbell fall. I don't really know what else to call core conditioning but after having 3 kids I have to work on all the stabilizing muscles (abs, back,…

Please tell me more about this cognitive behavioral therapy @SuzieBWorkin.

Scored a 26... Not really surprised, just a little doubtful. Some of the questions had a tiny bit of yes/no to them. If I could add two of the answers together for some then I think it would be a bit more accurate. Anyway: moderate BED. I guess some days I could be in the severe range. It's been some time (though not long…

Amazing! Details please! I'm struggling with belly fat and getting down these last 20 lbs. I've been doing 5x5 3x a week, running and working with a trainer 1-2 a week and I'm just stuck. I track calories and while I have my days here and there where I may eat a bit more than I'd like it's still not game over amounts. I'm…

Looking to 'lose' 20 lbs as well but trying to do it with weight training. So I'm looking at both scale and inches. Add me if you like.

The fact that you are making an effort to help yourself speaks volumes. Any progress is progress and as one of the other posters said anything is better than gaining (just remember that you may go up and down due to normal weight fluctuations) so don't get discouraged. As for the family support, it's nice when you get that…

BUMP BUMP BUMP!!! Love all the pics. I started SL 5x5 and I've kinda hit a stall with my overhead press. Going to take the fractional weights advice and see if I can power through. Other than that, I'm loving my new found muscles. Strength is definitely a sexy thing to have.

Congrats to all! If you add some weights to your routines not only will you lose some extra weight but you will be adding some sexy arm and shoulder muscles to those gorgeous wedding gowns! Best of luck to all!

I've been up and down in weight and of course I kick myself when I'm up and can't fit into some of my cute clothes. This go around on my fitness journey I decided to focus more on weight training and not the scale. I am not down to my 'original' smallest weight but with the recent heat wave I decided to pull out all of my…

I also suffer from overactive quads... I find single leg squats to be very effective in targeting the glute muscles. I use the TRX straps as a means of stabilizing if I get off balance but you can use a wall as well. 3 sets of 8-12 on each side will do it.

I was working with my trainer and he thought it would be a brilliant idea to do box jumps, despite my telling him on several occasions that I am quite clumsy. Things were going well but I was starting to get tired and instead of listening to my body and calling it quits I decided I wanted to show my trainer I could do…

I agree with the above quote just not the delivery. Not very helpful... While you cannot spot reduce fat you can still build a great core which will help posture and pull in those muscles. HIIT focuses on full body and will help blast fat but be advised that the fat will come off where ever it wants to. You must also…

That you may lose your 'rack' and the tummy may be the last thing to go. :s

Lately I've been into the Thai Chili tuna packets that just came out. I LOVE it... I'll eat it right at my desk. I'm the boss soooo yea. ;)

OMG!!! This! I have the same issue. I've been working out with a trainer and after every exercise he asks me where I'm feeling it and it's almost always my quads. I didn't know overactive quads was a thing. Thank you for shedding light! I'll bump because I'd love to know how to correct this.

That's all we can do, make today just a little bit better than yesterday. I'm trying to kick the all or nothing mentality. Trying to be kinder to myself but it's definitely a habit that we easily go back to because it's something we think we can control. I'm way too hard on myself and just saying that is a small step…

Definitely need support! I appreciate the sentiments. I will add you now! I hope we can overcome this and be the super Rockstars we all know live within. I'm just trying to stick with the one day at a time and one meal at a time mantra. I find that just getting out of my house for a little while really quiets those little…

Holy moly, I want to be just like you when I grow up! What types of workouts/nutrition did you need to maintain to get to pic #1. I want to be 80 years old and be able to whip out a pic like that and tell my grandkids a mean tale lol! You look amazing in all your photos BTW.

I've been diagnosed but now working the corporate intricacies of private insurance to see how I can take care of myself without drowning in medical bills from the counselors and nutritionists. It just sucks. I hate that my goals seem a bit out of reach now but at least knowing what the cause is means I can focus on…

How do I do #8? Seems interesting...
