exactly!!^^ i have PCOS (insulin resistance is a symptom) so i follow (try anyway) a low carb/high fat/medium protein diet. by that i mean, 10% carbs, 15% protein, 75% fat diet. i am not a success story (yet) as i've only been here for a month and 'only' lost 5 lbs. i also agree 100% with another poster - EVERY BODY IS…

i am 5'5 and started at 264 one month ago. i'm 259 now....i also have over 100lbs to lose! (i also have PCOS and find it very hard to lose, but i'm going to stick with it, as i've FINALLY started to notice some changes!) feel free to add me, anyone!

i'm a 30 days old today. add me, anyone can! i post A LOT! (not on the forums, but on the newsfeed side). i log everyday, good and bad days. and i exercise 5 days a week (usually) for a min of 20 mins.

this^^ but don't try changing everything all at once. that's made the difference for me this time. first i started eating better. not perfect, better- january. then i started walking to work 3-4 days a week- march. nothing changed except i FELT better. i got sick of the scale not moving, or moving UP instead of down and so…

ditto to the above! ^^ SOMETIMES, i think those of us with PCOS, it takes twice as long and we have to work twice as hard as it does others to lose the same amount! it's VERY discouraging, but, it is still losing! we just have to also have twice the motivation and determination to do it. WE CAN DO IT!!!! it's been one…

^^this....i had a bad experience, had it removed. good luck with yours though. i have friends who have it with no issues. like she said, everyone is different!

i definitely think you need to be eating way more than this!!
-
^^ this allso! great explanation
-
^^^ this!!! i don't think mine overestimates. i went for a 30 min walk and gave me an extra 300+ cals. i used another app to track the same walk and gave me almost exactly the same! i personally have mine linked to MFP and love seeing the cals in/ cals out....i think it works great!
-
i'll just add, the fitbit will link to MFP so what you enter as food, shows on FB dashboard... i personally LOVE seeing the cals in/cals out part....lets me know i'm on track (or not!)

i haven't read any of the comments but i have this to say: last night at the park, a man jogged past my son (4) and i and he said, mom, "he has a big belly." i told him that while it may be true, to say something negative about someones appearance is NOT ok. postive comments are always appropriate, but negative, keep to…
-
^^ excellent! also, fitbits only recognize walking/running. they don't understand biking/swimming! you'll have to enter that manually if it want it to show up.
-
^^mfp does this for you!! go to the goals section and tell it what percentages you want!! mine is set to 10% carb, 75% fat and 15% protein. i also change my sugar because they set it ridiculously high!! i put in 15g
-
^^^ yes exactly! milk has a lot of sugar in it! stick to heavy cream, or 1/2 & 1/2 if you must!
-
Are there any other sources for fat you could recommend?
coconut oil! look up keto fat bombs. there's tons of them out there :-)
-
love all of this! very well explained! ^^
-

-
i'm 5'5 and my goal weight is 160. i am currently 262. 160 was what i was in HS and in a sz 13/14. i want to get back there. once i'm there, who knows. i never thought i could get below that because i never was!! i think an ultimate goal for me would be a size 10....last time i was a size 10, i was in 5th grade!! i have…

this happened to me last year when i had to ride with my son...he wasn't tall enough to go alone, and i got kicked off because i was too fat....we both had to leave....sooooooooooo embarrassing! yet, a year later, and i'm JUST starting to do something about it :-(
-
totally LOL'd on that!! sorry! that was me on my wedding day!
