Right on! I quit smoking 7 months ago and decided a month ago that I needed to lose the 45 that I have gained plus another 55 after that. Almost 9 lbs down so far and my first goal is the 45 by the end of May!

Ha! I did the same thing. Dropped 8lbs in the first 2 days! Of course, now that I'm over 100 days in, it's slowed way way down so expect that. EAT MORE! Slow & steady will be sustainable.

This is what I would do . . . 1. Eat at maintenance for a couple of weeks and log everything. This will get you in the routine of planning your day in the morning. 2. That makes sense. I think you've convinced me. And WOW, what fun will it be to eat all those calories! Did you have any problems with hunger after the rest period? I kinda think I might. When I first started, it was a hurdle for me for the first two weeks and coming off that high of a calorie intake, seems to me, might be…

Wow that would put me almost to 2500. I could go hog wild! Just curious about the reasoning behind eating above?
-
Do you think I should eat at maintenance for the 2 weeks or above?

That would be a nice feeling, lol, fed up with too MANY calories!
