My husband had tingling sore legs for a while and got a whole bunch of bloodwork done. He has to go gluten free! You could have a pinched nerve though.

From what I've read (my husband had blood results possibly suggesting early hypothyroidism): 1. Drink more water 2. Exercise more (60 minutes a day) 3. Eat food rich in Iodine (seaweed) and Selenium (brazil nuts, garlic, onion) 4. Avoid wheat gluten The food suggestions were tailored to our diet.

Club soda or seltzer water with vanilla extract and stevia sweetener! 0 calorie cream soda! You can also buy different extracts to make different flavored sodas! We make 1 liter at a time, because they lose their fizziness after a day.

Also found this which lists WEIGHT GAIN, Reduced Liver and Brain Function, and High cholesterol: "Your body can only use a certain amount of protein each day. If you take in too much protein, you may gain weight. Each gram of protein has 4 calories. If you take in 100 grams of protein, but your body can only use 50 grams…

On the 80/10/10 negative comments - This woman begs to differ. I couldn't stop staring at her abs! Fluffy Fruity Floaters!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikqjdE5J728 While I'm not on this diet, I haven't looked into the logistics, but I do believe it can work if done right. That being said, I'm not prepared to eat raw and…

There are definitely dangers to eating too much protein. As the person above mentioned, your kidneys suffer from too much protein, especially protein from animal sources due to uric acid, a by-product of digesting animal protein. So try to increase your plant protein intake and decrease your animal protein intake. This…

Make your own calorie free soda! It's so easy! 1 liter Club Soda 1 serving of stevia sweetener (powder or liquid) add flavors of choice (vanilla extract for cream soda! about 1.5-2 tsp) We had dried lavender flowers and made a vanilla lavender soda that was awesome!

I'm in that area too!

I'm not fond of the idea of saving calories for alcohol. Even if you are meeting your macros, alcohol is essentially poison. It's not only empty calories, but actually robs you of your nutrition and has a bad affect on your organs. Save it for special occasions.…

Stock up on fruits and veggies that don't need to be cooked. Have a pantry with peanut butter, nuts, seeds, other healthy snacks and maybe protein bars so you always have something to turn to! Also, when you do have time to cook, make a meal that will last a few days! I tend to make dinners on Sunday or Monday to last me…

I'm vegan. I generally eat 56% carbs, 26% fat, 18% protein. I make sure most of my fats are healthy fats with omega 3's, and my carbs are mostly from fruits and vegetables. I'm just toning, not body building, if that helps. I think it works best to have 50-60% carbs on a vegan diet, more if you are raw.

Tomato Swiss Chard Cannellini Bean Soup (vegan homemade): Sautee 1 medium yellow onion in 1 Tbsp olive oil. Add 1 large can (32 oz) of crushed tomatoes with basil. Add 2- 15oz cans of cannellini beans. Add 1 container or 3.5 cups sausage style crumbles (I used Wegmans – Don’t Be Piggy). Add ½ vegetable bullion cube to 1…

I recommend using natural ways to repel ticks. If you like garlic, eat a lot of it. There are also natural insect repellents and you can even make your own using essential oils or the actual plants. Ticks and other insects do not like lemon balm (citronella) and lavender. I personally love the smell of these. You can also…

I agree with grimendale. I like to leave some of my burned calories uneaten as well. There can be inaccuracies with the calorie burn calculations. It can go either direction though, If you are truly hungry, I believe in eating at least something. And always make sure you are meeting your requirements of protein, calcium,…

Definitely brown rice is the better choice. 3 times a week is fine, I think.

What you want to do is eat real whole foods high in fiber, not processed foods with added fiber. Just eat more fruits and vegetables all around! These are said to be especially high in fiber: Vegetables: corn, edamame, artichoke, peas, carrot, broccoli, greens (collard greens, kale, turnip greens), sweet potato Fruit:…

I'm not sure how many grams you are shooting for, but I generally eat about 85 grams of protein per day, and I don't eat meat, eggs, or dairy. There are plenty of ways to slip in some extra protein here and there. Here are some of my high protein snacks: Tamari Pumpkin Seeds, 1/4 cup = 10 grams of protein (i buy these in…

I don't eat cereal, but I would use either Good Karma Flax Milk or So Delicious Almond Plus Milk. So Delicious Coconut Milk is tasty, but not as valuable. I also really like the Tempt Hemp Milk, but that one out prices them all. I use these milks in my breakfast smoothies. Today's smoothie: 1 cup Good Karma Unsweetened Flax…

Almost anything, just don't announce that it's vegan to non-vegans. Some people think vegan food is gross because they have no idea what it really means. My favoritesnot already mentioned: Vegetable Spring Rolls, Black Bean Dip, Regular Sun Chips, fruit!

I don't think punishment works! Also, it's more important to make sure you get the proper nutrition. I try to keep my overages during the week under 100 calories over, and on the weekend under 300. Generally during the week I don't go over more than 1 day during the week anyway. If I had a crazy Saturday, I try not to go…

I checked through a few days of your diary. Maybe it's related to too much wheat gluten (cereal, pasta, sandwich bread) and other starchy carbs, and not enough vegetables and fruit for fiber. I don't eat cereal for breakfast anymore. I have a fruit and kale smoothie. My bowels are never stopped up! I hope you get moving…
