Photo of me in the bra is from January 2018. The other pictures are very very old. All in all it’s taken me maybe a year and 6months ish...hard to say. I had surgery, two major health scares and hypothyroidism the whole time as well so that slowed me down

Thank you! I can’t wait to come back with another before and after picture in here haha :)

My heaviest was 225lbs and a size 24(snug...see photo of me in the purple and green prom gown) Now I am 140lbs and a size 4. I’d like to lose a bit more weight...maybe 10-15lbs because I do still have a tummy pooch so I have to cut more body fat, but I’m happy and comfortable with my body now! I eat a vegan diet and lift…

Haha right? My eyes look twice as big and I have a chin! And cheekbones! And facial features! People I went to high school with often don’t recognize me haha
-
I’m still struggling to reduce my caffeine intake because the thyroid condition does often make me so exhausted but you have to play around with diet to find what’s best for you! It’s a constant process!
-
I have an under active thyroid, not hashimotos...so I’m not totally sure how different those things will be for you but I do know that any disease/illness is better if you are in a healthy weight right? Honestly physically and emotionally has been totally positive for me. I feel comfortable in all my clothes and don’t…

CONGRATS! I recently put on a size 4 and it fit like a charm....I almost started crying haha I used to be a size 24 at my heaviest. It’s crazy what consistency can achieve
-
It changed so much I don’t even know how to answer that haha. Right now I’m working out 4 times per week. Lifting only zero cardio! Honestly just start with whatever you can commit to and then build up from there!

Honestly a little. Once I switched to high carb vegan my energy went up a lot but I don’t think a vegan diet is a treatment for hypothyroidism. I went vegan for ethical reasons so my hypo status didn’t affect that. I will say it didn’t hurt me at all but if you gav hashimotos make sure you watch your soy intake

I've lost about 85lbs. When I first started I was obese so working out wasn't so easy for me. I did like 30 min workout videos or couch to 5k in the beginning and was eating very low cal high fat low carb. (IT SUCKED) After I've lost some weight I started to actually learn more about proper diet and nutrition. I started…

I was throwing away old clothes the other day and couldn't resist snapping a pic before I threw it away haha

@jdbmom I started out at 2200 calories and have SLOWLY lowered my calories so now I'm at 1800. I fully plan to reverse diet back up once I'm done dieting down.
-
@wendysstorm make sure you're eating enough food. That sounds really low and you don't wanna slow your metabolism down. Plus you won't be seeing much strength progress if you aren't eating enough nutrition!
-
@christinedlg50 I went straight for free weights lifting as heavy as I could (which wasn't much haha)
-
@venuscaelestis you should get into it! It's much more fun than Cardio in my opinion and it will change your body in ways cardio just can't!
-
@alkight84 I hate cardio and it's not strictly necessary to do all the time especially if trying to build strength
