I too have always struggled with belly fat. Clean eating (NO sugar, except fruit), cardio (circuit training mainly) and ab exercise is helping me melt mine away. I really enjoyed reading everyone's advice! Always looking for new friends. Add me :)

I'm 5'2, and active. My MFP is also at 1200, but because I exercise hard-core a lot of times, I eat more. Don't be too strict, especially if you're active. It's impossible to build healthy muscle and stay healthy on that few calories!

I LOVE bananas, but they have a lot of sugar. However, even eating 2 or 3 bananas a day as a 'pick-me-up' doesn't seem to bother my dieting at all. Also, drinking water helps water it down in your blood. I usually eat one before lifting and hard muscle workouts. Great for energy!
