Doesn't this question depend on your age? I lost 60 pounds a few years ago. I'm in my late 50's. I lost weight. I didn't lose skin. It does not just spring back like a 25 year olds elastic skin. Ah, youth.

Has anyone ever had a "treat" night (mine is beer) and go way off the calorie chart and find you lost a pound or 2 the next day? Is this a sign of undereating the rest of the time?

My first thought is that you may not be losing weight, but you are building muscle while losing fat. There are times I just couldn't get past a certain weight, but realized my clothes were still getting looser. I think the body just starts adjusting.

Where are you? Might help finding some local support.

I think that nailed it.

Sometimes and with some people you just have to snap and say enough. Just because they are working towards an early grave does not mean you must follow. I think it's brought about by jealousy, and you have to just hit it head on. Turn it around and make them feel bad about their choices.

You need to turn it around and not be supportive of his poor eating habits. Make your own food and watch the weight fall. You won't care what he has to say.
