  • um... Imma 250lbs minnow :-)
  • This plus one. Been with my vegitarian wife for 12 years. Yet on my birthday she takes me to a steak house to get my rare steak. I eat meat with almost every meal. Except on her birthdays lol. A favorite was the moosewood in Ithaca. Or the meltingpot. ( thank heavens she does cheese!!!) I will add that I've moved from…
  • My family initially wasn't on board with my change. At least my mother wasn't. She is obese and with a whole list of health problems. Diabetes, bad hips, arthritis, pains, this, that...and she doesn't follow doctors advice in her diet. She would get upset as I turned down fatty dinner after fatty dinner she prepared. She…
  • The exercise is not counted automatically. The site uses some information about your daily activity level to help calculate the calorie goal, however what you burn must be logged each time. You will find that the calorie goals will increase as you log your exercise. Example: Starting goal 1400 Burn 400 running Now I need…
  • Add just a wee little bit of spicy hummus... And... Voila! My night is instantly improved :-)
  • There should be a YouTube test or other certification. At least, carry a warning that no one will be smacked in the face with the shake weight. I feel cheated. With that being said...congrats on your loss so far!
  • Totally! I noticed that. Um... Kinda discredits the "typical"aspect. What else are they hiding? Or... Is it rue the typical French family are non drinkers?
  • Idk, apparently you can only edit so many times? Thanks for the heads up! I did the guessing too... I'd rather have something in there. Although... I must be off cause the scale is not forgiving :(
  • So... Wasn't my birthday, just a lot of eating out due to circumstance. This weeks gonna be similar :-( imma try hard and work it off... Running along the beach for a change! Eh... I don't always log my water, but its cause its like maybe a glass a day. And sometimes I actually drink closer to 2 pots of coffee... Des that…
  • Totally not diabetic. So eat more protein, and fiber? Within my normal calorie goal? Thanks for all the replays btw...
  • +1. To everything but #1. That's a bit awkward IMHO. I just find reasons to not do fast food. It's not good for anyone, anyways. There is always a better place... Most importantly, check for websites and nutritional information. Heck, I've ended up ordering and loving stuff I thought I'd never like based on calorie count.…
  • 1 time bump for visibility
  • Ooo ya know, thats a good point. I think its like 2lbs higher on the hrm than the scale. I have a bad habit of daily weighing... but I think ill update during my weekly mfp check in. Is it so sensative that I should weigh then update each day?
  • I can't find a Fitbit flex anywhere!! I got mine on back order, and have looked everywhere. Not trying to pay a 50% premium to get it now from eBay... And I totally love these gadgets! It almost makes the weightloss fun. Almost lol.
  • That's nice to hear. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first. I really expected it to be lower. Great surprise!
  • * I think op is confused with "heavy" in the name. Certainly, anyone can take up lifting at the right pace and with the right instruction. Already being fit isn't a prerequisite for lifting right?
  • Just outside Albany,NY. The state Capitol :-)
  • That's exactly why I want the HRM. My treadmill tells me one number, and mfp another. I know the machine cant be right, cause it doesn't take into account my weight or any body information.
  • Thanks for all the responses so far. I'm really thinking at its best for me to start with the HRM. I work from home, and find myself more sedentary now than I have been my whole life. My daily workouts are my best chance to burn, and it sounds like the HRM is the best tool to help me maximize the burn. Obviously logging…
