  • Sure. Google Colin Cambell. He did 2 human studies. One where people with tumors were put on a plant based diet and the tumors shrunk or disappeard. The second study used people with no cancer or tumors and they were followed for years. A percentage of them developed cancer cells. Those people were then put on a plant…
  • Hard to say everything I'd like to say without sounding like I'm anti-doctor, which I'm not. Doctors are not to blame because nutrition is nearly non existent in their 8 to 12 years of training. But that doesn't change the fact that they are mostly ignorant to nutrition. If I want to know how to set a bone or stitch up a…
  • Standing outside with friends and family just talking and BS'ing for a couple of hours without my back hurting. 10 or 15 minutes was my limit when I started this journey.
  • You don't change your caloric intake to meet your psychological needs. You body is a fuel burning factory. It has needs. And if you deprive it of those needs it will not be kind to you. Don't further exacerbate your metabolic syndrome which I'm sure you have some of at least. You didn't gain the weight in a short period of…
  • Eating that few calories does explain your weight gain. If I thought I might be starving I would cling to every ounce of energy I could too. And your body is way smarter than I. Feed your body.
  • Was 412 at my highest. So I know a little about where you are coming from. I will give you advice that you won't take most likely. And everyone that reads my advice and comments will tell you to ignore it. But I'm going to tell you anyway. Eat nothing but fruit and vegetables. Mostly fruit. Get 80% or more of your calories…
  • You answered all of your questions with your own post. 1. "I haven't even eaten any meals yet" Exactly. You have poured empty meaningless food into your body. Do you want to lose weight or do you want to drink sweet tea all day. Others will pat you on the back and they are harming you. The answer is you can't drink sweet…
  • This is the best post in this thread. Eat high nutrient low fat foods. ie fruits and veggies. You can eat until you're miserable and lose weight. I dare you to eat as much as you can. Try it.
  • It sounds like you are using calorie tracking as an excuse for binge eating. I suspect you have probable had issues with binge eating long before you ever found this site or tracked one ounce of food. I would recommend you find out what is actually triggering it and try to work on that. And keep tracking your food.
  • I have a local restaurant that makes amazing side. Greens, beans, corn, cabbage, carrots etc etc. And you can buy them by the pint, quart or whatever. So I buy the sides I like and freeze them and just cook my meat fresh. Easy to do a chicken breast or whatever, pop the veggies in the microwave....walla! healthy quick meal…
  • Cut the carbs for breakfast. Its amazing what loading up on mostly protein in the morning will do as opposed to carbs. You will feel better, be less hungry and the rest of the day is much more manageable.
  • Add one of these a day. 350 calories. Reasonable fat/calorie ratio. Tons of Protein. Taste amazing. They are my breakfast every day. You should be able to add one of these to your daily mix pretty easily. Detour Bars. The 85g bars. And you can get them for half the price on Amazon. I order them 4 boxes at a time,…

  • I ordered the flex yesterday. I mainly picked it because of the coupon on the brookstone website. 20GIFT gets $20 off for a total of 79.99 which was too good of a deal to pass up. Hope to have mine this week!
  • It has changed my life. Nothing has helped me lose weight until this. My knees are thankful!
