To add to my recent post--yes! I wear size 11 shoes also, and my hands are so big I can't usually wear women's gloves. My wedding ring is size 8 (same as my husband's). My husband is only 5'7" also, but my son is 6'2"; I'm sure he got it from me. So I see where you're coming from--and going to. Charlotte

I'm 5'7". My starting weight was 253 and I aimed for 150, which gives me a healthy BMI. I actually just hit 145, completely accidentally. One of my coworkers just told me I am looking "too thin." I'm now wearing a size 10. I consider myself on maintenance now. Best of luck to you. Charlotte

I had the same for almost the entire month of September--up two pounds, down three, up three, no net loss the whole month. I was devastated, and even cut back on eating. But then last week, I lost three pounds! So just hang in there. It happens.

You definitely need a scale, because in our society we have no idea of portion size. Iit's really important to weigh and measure so you get an idea of what one-half cup of something, or three ounces of something, looks like. For the first few weeks, I even weighed each apple, because "medium" and "large" are so indefinite.…
