I can bench press a sandwich does that count?

Never say never. 1. Perfect for mixed drinks! Everyone needs a screwdriver. At least, I need one or 10 before I post on these forms. 2. I... never minded margarine. I liked butter better. But margarine is cheaper, so if you can't afford butter, it's fine. 3. My whole wheat bagels and peanut butter post workout laugh. 4. I…

It all depends on how you view lie. Sometimes I eat some food for dessert, something that fits into my calorie budget for the day, but don't bother logging it cause it's the last thing I will eat that night. But I always log up until that point, and I usually do log my dessert.

Then... drop the weight. Heavy doesn't mean >50lbs. Heavy means as heavy as you can, in which you can complete the exercise with good form.

Well considering you can eat things like vegetables, you aren't removing sugars from your diet. A plum or cherry tomato has 2 grams of sugar in it. Detox debunked you are still eating sugar, please eat healthy and stop falling for traps like these. ETA: The "detox" tells you to eat a ton of veggies, which is why I am…

They are kids, it's Halloween, give them candy. I bought a couple bags of candy specifically to hand out for Halloween. Just because I eat healthy doesn't mean every kid has to suffer like I do.

After the discount my work gives me and my insurance gives me.... $10 a year.

I read the article. So, what foods have these, and how does a cleanse remove them? Studies that show cleanses remove these toxins from your system would be greatly appreciated.
-
I'm totally in for this. The only people who need to cleanse the "toxins" in their system are those that are either on extremely dangerous illegal substances, or extremely dangerous medication (people who need to take Lithium, for example). But most of the time those are in much higher doses, which is what causes the build…

You can lose weight just lifting weights, if that's what you want to do. You burn less calories during the workout than cardio (assuming same level of effort and same amount of time), but (IIRC) more calories throughout the day. I hate cardio machines. They bore me and I just refuse to do them. I use the gym only for…

Timothy said " You need to open your eyes to many other experts that have studied the issue way far more than you or I ... and have heard testimonies by actual PEOPLE whose health got better when removing GMO laced foods from their diets from weight loss and getting over afflictions such as asthma, diabetes, autism, high…

The information I have posted was from those who interviewed people with these different conditions and personally reported they GOT better and some even completely recovered from their conditions when what they did was STOP using products and food with GMOs and some with chemicals banned in other countries for years that…

Weight lifting calories burned are so messed up, it's almost impossible to calculate. I do the same routine every week, takes the same amount of time, but each time I lift more than I did last time. So when I enter in an hour of lifting into MFP, it is almost guaranteed to be incorrect. A couple months ago I was struggling…

I really hate when people blame autism on random stuff (GMOs Vaccines, etc). I have a couple friends who have high functioning autism. They are close friends of mine. It shows a fundamental lack of understanding of it. It's not something you can catch or whatever. It doesn't make sense. I think it's a dishonor to those who…

Academic Review .. isn't a "reliable" news source either, sorry to tell you.. their opinions give no validation of GMOs being safe or proving their use isn't harming crops, livestock, or humans either... and don't adequately refute the potential dangers that GMOs may produce when used or consumed... I guess it is a matter…

You... really think GMOs caused obesity? That's hilarious. 1990s you say? Hm... this chart http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/82/USObesityRate1960-2004.svg says otherwise. Looks like obesity rates started to rise significantly before 1990. Can you PLEASE cite something more credible than youtube? News articles…

Being tired is not a good indicator of working hard in the gym. Especially when it comes to lifting weights. If you are lifting heavy weights, and you are tired, your last few reps are going to be sloppy, which means more prone to injury. So long as your workout is giving you the results you want, don't worry about things…

Sounds like a plan! I guess more food it is, then see the results.

Actual pesticide use in the US: http://ipmworld.umn.edu/chapters/larson/Slide1.JPG As you can see, pesticide use has gone down since 83. Herbicides are on a downward trend, and are almost at 83 levels. Granted this data is a little old, but here is a more recent report by the Washington Post showing that use is in fact…

OMG!!!! Plants and animals sharing DNA!? How scary! Of course, it would be less scary if you knew that sharing DNA isn't uncommon. Actually, your DNA is 50% identical to a banana. http://www.nhm.ac.uk/nature-online/evolution/what-is-the-evidence/morphology/dna-molecules/ Also pesticides aren't being grown in the plant,…

Can I have a source for 30 Monstanto executives in the US "parliament" (I assume you mean Congress)? And I REALLY need a source for 600k+ suicides in India because of actions taken by Monsanto. You would think that would make the news. Some legitimate news station. So, I really need a source before you make any more…

Thanks everyone. I am eating a decent amount of protein, though I probably should eat more. I'm currently eating around 130-200 grams per day (depends on what I eat and stuff, obviously). I thought 3k would be enough, it SOUNDS like so much. Guess I will have to make more of my patented chocolate protein powder, peanut…

I am currently lifting. I make long term weight goals and attempt to reach them. For example, One of my long term goals is to bench my body weight 5 times in a row without stopping by the end of the year. I am currently 30 pounds away from that. I have my routine all set, so my focus is simply setting new goals within my…

If the program is balanced (hits all major muscle groups), then don't stop until you stop seeing results (also, make sure you are constantly increasing the weight you are lifting, or increasing the number of reps. One of those two should change every single week). Consistency is key when it comes to making progress.…

www.credit-suisse.com? What a reliable and knowledgeable news source! Amazing! I bet all their articles are peer reviewed studies! And a youtube video!? Only professional videographers with multiple sources cited and confirmed can make one of those!

I think you would be better off doing 6 days on 1 day off than 12/2. You probably won't "overtrain". I've been doing 6/1 for almost a year now and I am in good shape. You won't hurt yourself doing that. 1 day off a week is what you need, and, if I remember correctly, is what many fitness professional back up. Don't listen…

I am by no means an expert. Nor do I claim to be. That being said, though I do focus on a single muscle group at a time, I always include 1 or more compound lifts into my routine. I'm not sitting there doing 30 sets of bicep curls. In fact, my arm day contains both a close grip bench press, and chin ups. My back day…

If I have to hate one type of people, it's people who skip leg days. Barbell squats are some of the manliest exercises you can do, next to deadlifts. Why wouldn't you want to be a badass who holds double your body weight on your back and then moves it through space and time?
-
but... but... I love all my days equally...
