Yay for eating and for everyone who has the same reaction as mine when they see (or just think of) delicious food:

I'm Nika. Born in the(probably to you) exotic country of Croatia, but pretty much a citizen of the world now, with three passports. Almost like James Bourne, but without penis and people constantly trying to assassinate me. At least I hope so. Anyways, I'm 30 and married to a hilarious sexy american nerd for a couple of…

Listen up, you glorious *kitten*! :drinker: Get a muffin pan. Not a pansy one for tiny little muffin-wannabes, get the one that makes giant manly diabetes inducing muffins. Now grease the *kitten* up with some oil. Now push in a piece of soft toast. Done? Time for bacon then. Just a thin slice, but feel free to use two…

Dudes. DUDES. Chunky PB, forest fruit jam, sliced banana, and sour granny smith apple slices. Eat now, thank me later.
-
It's rarely under 600 (which is about 25% of my daily intake), but I do generally eat very late in the morning (10, 11).

Yes, our ancestors inhaled only nitrogen and oxygen. Our breathing apparatus is not meant to handle Argon for example, I read it in the book called "The Argon belly".
-
Well I think it's probably the mix of air you're breathing in. You should wait at least two hours after inhaling nitrogen, and then inhale some oxygen. But make sure you stay within your gas macros.

I'm 5'5.5, 124/125 lbs and maintaining at 2000+ calories. I was losing at 1700-1900. How anyone can survive at 1200 is beyond me.

A lot of people don't. They seem to think that people who eat by IIFYM stuff their faces with fast food and sweets exclusively. Maybe even make a point of avoiding quality foods. I just let them believe what they want. :drinker:
-
LOL. I laughed at this with the strength of 220 Gigglewatts.:drinker:
-
Oh no, me be scared of this processed food inferno you're predicting for us.
-
Well put. :drinker: Not to mention that very often menus of the people who claim to eat "clean" are so bleak and repetitive that they're not sustainable for a longer period of time, let alone a lifetime. And then they go to their cousin's wedding, eat two slices of cake and start a topic here about how they slipped and…

I wasn't very overweight, and I was an active runner- but I lacked some insight as far as my nutrition goes, and I definitely lacked strength training. Started counting calories and eating by IIFYM method, and heavy lifting, about 8 months ago. The before pic is not great, but you can see I'm a bit pudgy: After 8 months of…

You should never be done with improving yourself, take it as a challenge. I don't wanna go much lower on my BF, but I still have goals- lift heavier, run faster, grow bigger hamstrings. :drinker:
-
Bod pod was very inaccurate for me, luckily I got the opportunity to do hydrostatic weighing soon after that (about a month later) and my BF is 19.5%. Just based from that, I would have guessed you are about 24-25. You look awesome though, and you should keep up the good work and not worry so much about the numbers.

Effing breakfast cereal/muesli. Seriously, they should put a giant red warning on those.

:swoons: This is one of the best transformations I've seen here. You work hard, and it's showing. Great job, and awesome inspiration. :drinker:

Bump! This topic needs more awesome lifting ladies

Halp! I'm drowning in bulkiness! :drinker:

What in the world did you base that calculation on? Even if TDEE calculators were that accurate, the main component of the calculation is an activity level- which she didn't state.
-
This is the best reply on the topic. Caloric deficit will result in weight loss, and your type of activity will determine how will your body compose whilst losing fat (and how much muscle will it lose along with that fat). If you're just trying to lose weight, it doesn't really matter what you do as long as you're in…

Plain oatmeal with banana, honey, cinnamon and chia seeds. Espresso with milk and teaspoon of brown sugar. 460 calories.:)
-
Exactly. Everything else is not very precise, but to each his own. ;) Initial question was about meal calories, and it all depends on the amount of oil.
-
If you're measuring how much is left in the pan after cooking that is completely wrong because lots of the fluids left are gonna be fluids that come out of the chicken as you cook it (mixed with oil). Seriously, if you don't plan on eating something- don't use it.
-
Doesn't matter if the oil is left in the pan or not- in your diary you always log how much you actually put in the pan. Maybe try using less oil, it's really not necessary to drown the chicken in it. As far as your initial question goes: log each ingredient separately. -500 grams of boneless skinless chicken (on its own is…

5'5.5", 124 lbs, 30 yrs old- TDEE is around 2000 calories (lifting, kettlebells, running) For me this calculator was reasonably precise both for maintenance and deficit (+/- 50 calories): http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ I have been maintaining for a month now, that's the only way to know for sure what your…

My dirty mind initially wanted to say "that sounds like my ex". Good job with your loss and good luck with your plan :drinker:
