  • I replaced my after dinner snacking with walks/working out. I learned my trigger foods and keep them out of the house. Also I eat filling, balanced meals that carry me over until the next meal time. Eating small meals and snacks kept me hungry and ravenous, so this way of eating is a much better fit for me.
  • I've kept off 80 pounds easily for over 7 years. For me, planning ahead, writing in my food/exercise journal, being mindful of how many calories I am consuming everyday and staying consistent with this has been the keys to my success.
  • I thrive on structure and having a plan. I start planning my next day the night before. I lay out my workout clothes, pour water in my jug and leave in the fridge, plan my meals and make a to do list. Here's a typical day during the week for me: - Check my emails/messages - Make my hubby's lunch and drink some water - Play…
  • I had hip dips for a while when I was near my goal and after. I didn't mind them at all. I just wanted the excess fat to be gone off my body. However, they have filled after years of maintenance. I do a lot of consistent brisk walking. Not sure if that helped or not but they are gone.

  • I did Karla's live step on IG this morning followed by this step session which was so fun and different: https://youtu.be/2NYc4C6VVEc?t=262
  • That is wonderful! These workouts aren't going anywhere. I miss my family so much. I hope you enjoyed your time today at the park!
  • I'm not much of a bike kind of girl, but my husband got me an amazing bike recently. I haven't been out to ride it yet however. The weather hasn't been the best lately, but I'm looking forward to getting on it especially when my favourite parks open up. I love trying new things with my fitness routine.
  • I did both Karla (Fit out the Box) and Jenny Ford's live step classes this morning. And just finished the following: https://youtu.be/-fgjeJZfeAs?t=39 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rUA_tcBibA
  • You are doing great! I see how hard you are working so just keep going! :)
  • I love old school workouts! I did this one this morning (just the warm up and mat session). I used to do this workout with my mom back in the 80's. :) https://youtu.be/oNkj5j0s_8k?t=175 And Day 6 of Karla's Challenge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuOBBc0GGPs&feature=youtu.be I still have a lot of energy so I'll probably…
  • When I was losing weight I measured my progress in several ways: - I took my measurements once a month and wrote it down in my journal. I measured my neck, arms, bust, upper/mid/lower abs, hips, upper thighs and calves. I was focused more on losing body fat and inches so I found this very helpful. - I noticed how my…
  • Abs/core day, with a shot of triceps and of course cardio for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxseJo_7W9Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rXdm5gWzqY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQHstkOH9uI&t=40s Also Fit Outside the Box Challenge - Day 4 - 30 mins step & kickboxing and 1 mile Walk and Tone with a resistance band…
  • I tried losing weight a couple of times in the past. I would go hard and do unsustainable things such as cutting things out or not eating enough. I would lose some weight and it would eventually come right back and then some. Also I would try to lose weight for an event or a vacation. So again I'd lose some weight and it…
  • I use a Diva Cup. It's amazing and very freeing. I track my cycle on an app so I know exactly when I'm coming on (3 months in advance) and the flow. So I avoid long hikes on those heavy days (sorry TMI). To pee I use a contraption called a P Style. I can go standing up and without taking off my pants. I've gone on several…
  • Good for you! Now I take active rest days and do things like Pilates, deep stretching, yoga etc. I will completely rest when I need it which isn't very often. For home cardio I use a lot of Youtube workouts (aerobics, step aerobics, Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home channel and other fitness channels that I follow and I do…
  • Brisk walking Walking/jogging intervals Hill runs Hiking Rollerblading Ice skating in the winter Casual walks with my family and puppy around the neighbourhood I'm lucky to live around a lot of nice trails, parks and outdoor space.
  • Congrats on reaching your goal! I experienced something similar when I reached my goal. But for me it had more to do with my body composition not so much scale weight. I had some loose/deflated skin and I knew my body needed work under my clothes although I was very happy with the way I looked in clothes. I just kept it at…
  • I bet that privacy was nice! Also pole fitness is such a great workout. I really miss my classes. That would be awesome! I'm getting there! haha Jump rope has really built up and has taken my stamina and endurance to the next level! And again, congrats on your success! Very happy for you! I also lost weight but I need to…
  • More Youtube videos! There are so many different options! There are also a lot of trainers I discovered who are putting up workouts too. My library has a lot of online resources and access to other online platforms (apps and streaming). Some of which have fitness workouts on them so I've been taking advantage of that I…
  • My AM workout included a 1 mile Leslie Sansone workout as my warm up, a GymRa upper body workout and a Susana Yabar core workout. This afternoon I did Day 2 of Karla's (Fit Outside the Box) Step Aerobics challenge and a Susana Yabar stretching session.
  • My arms (biceps) went from 18 inches to 11 inches. I lost over 80 pounds. When I reached my goal my arms were around 13 inches and it stayed there for a while. My triceps had some loose skin and it was annoying, but they were better then it was previously. After a couple years of maintaining I noticed my skin was slowly…
  • I did something crazy this morning guys. 2 live step classes back to back! Well there was an half hour break in between. I had so much fun and feel amazing! https://youtu.be/t2HPJOnilLQ?t=104 and https://youtu.be/T0JasJvC-xY?t=172 I see some of us did the same live workouts today. That's very cool! @Deedoyle9721 I'm glad…
  • I plan/track my calorie count and exercise daily. Holidays and vacations included. It doesn't take long and tracking allows me to maintain my weight nicely (80+ pound loss for 7 years with no regain) while eating everything I want! :)
  • I understand how frustrating that can be. When I was losing weight, I found when I focused more on improving my fitness (and of course being aware of my calorie intake) the weight and inches eventually came off. Things like walking a mile faster, improving my stamina to power walk 3+ miles at one time without stopping,…

Sometimes I have to put my own music on, but I find her workouts…
  • I eat the same way. Try making fat bombs to help with your fat intake. There are many recipes online. I make mine on meal prep days and they help me to reach my fat goal some days and also help to satisfy a sweet/chocolate craving too.

  • I've had this Sunny Health & Fitness Stair Stepper for several years: It's great! Quiet, durable, easy to store/pull out and the detachable handles gives a upper body workout. It also has a timer, step counter and an appx. calorie burner built into the machine. It's maybe 38cm x 40cm? Good luck!
