When I started to take up running I was about 290 lbs. My neighbors and random strangers cheered me on then and still do now when I go on runs. I always found it encouraging and motivating. I was never offended or found it condescending. I feel that such a reaction has to do with how you view yourself at the moment. Back…

I just imputed you stats into multiple BMR calculators using the average female height of 5'7. They all say your BMR (the amount of calories your body burns in a static state) is around 3100 and your TDEE (the amount of calories you should eat to maintain your weight) based on your activity level is about 3800. So if you…

My goal is to lose 135. All I can tell you is slow and steady is the best approach. Request coming your way! Anyone else can feel free to add me :))

I can only say what has worked for me. Be honest. Log everything, even the junk, the binges, the oil you cook in and that snack you had at work. If you eat/drink it, log it. This is imperative. It is the only way you will be aware of what exactly you are consuming. Many use a food scale and swear by it. I never have. I'm…

By eating... calories are no different during the day than in the evening...so have a snack or set up your daily calorie intake so you can have an evening meal.

^this. I literally eat cupcakes, chocolate, ice cream etc almost on a daily basis...you can check my diary if you'd like. what matters is calories in vs. calories out. don't deny yourself anything. have what you love in moderation, log it and move on. you're not gonna spend your entire life denying yourself things, so…

#1. Why are you listening to people when you should be listening to your body instead? #2. I say relax because losing weight is not rocket science and it's not something that you need to stress about because it's pretty simple. Eat at a deficit, lose weight. Eating 200 calories more might be beneficial to you in the sense…

It's just some advice based on my experiences. I thought that's why you made this post...

Relaaaaax. Upping you calories by 200 calories is no different than eating at 1500. eat your extra 200 calories, log it, and move on. I think you're giving this waaay too much thought.

My daily goal is 2100 (without exercise)...when I do exercise i try to get as close to 2000 as possible. If you're having trouble increasing calories: peanut butter, avocado, olive oil bump up calories a lot. I also eat "healthy" but i throw in some ice cream, chocolate, pizza, whatever as long as its within my goal. And i…

My Target weight is 150 according to my BMI. But I'm 5'8....so 180 it is.

I'm sorry but I have nothing to talk to my coworker about all through the night. What he is doing is wrong because HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND and it is obviously not an "innocent friendship". What he is doing IS cheating because he is STILL in a committed relationship and spending more than necessary time with a woman that is NOT…

Sounds like you are making excuses for him. He's a big boy. If he is unhappy with his girlfriend, regardless of her mental state, he needs to either break it off with her before pursuing anyone else or, as I say, "suck it up buttercup" and deal with his crazy girlfriend and keep his wiener in his pants. Not to mention, who…

Assuming you keep your calorie counts accurate...i would suggest to try to Increase your calories, add a weigh lifting regimen. The scales might not change much but you will most likely shed some inches, tone up and look like you are at your goal weight. Your body is at a healthy weight as it is, and it probably likes it…

I think what DevPaul is trying to say is that there is no particular exercise that makes you lose inches the fastest. Everyone is different, with different lean body mass percentage versus fat percentage, both these factors have an effect on fat loss (which is the same as inches lost). The only way to ensure you will lose…

I did this ONCE, killed my arms, burned like 500 calories. It's definately a workout, i just couldn't get into it though.

add foods high in calories... Olive oil= 120-150 per tablespoon Avocado= 50-70 per ounce Peanut butter= 200 per serving Dressings= 100-300 per ounce Nutella=200 per serving ice cream=130-250 calories per 1/2 cup protein shakes, smoothies (add all kinds of fruits + milk=200-500 calories per/12 oz), add peanut butter to…

Peanut Butter, Nutella, dressing, mayonnaise, avocado, olive oil...all of these will bump your calories with no problem.

If you were to take a look at my diary each month you could probably point out which days I'm PMs'ing...You'll see great amounts of chocolate (M&M's, dove), ice cream (vanilla with hershy's syrup, yet more chocolate), pizza and beef, i go nuts for beef. To answer your question, when I have a craving, i GIVE IN. Doesn't…

^this...although i don't call them cheat meals, i basically just don't deny myself anything. i fit what i want into my calories for the day and move on.. but yea, my entire weight loss has been pretty consistent, the high calorie foods might have something to do with it. Also, when I notice my weight and measurements…
