Down 5, 60 more to go!

I've been a member two separate times. Both times, I chose Curves because I live in a very small town and it was HERE. It helped me build energy and I lost some inches. If you're going from sedentary to working out, it is great! If you're already a member of a gym or doing that caliber of workout, you might do better to…

OOPS! This was supposed to go with the post about not being able to afford new clothes!

I've got at LEAST 65 lbs. to lose at 5'5". NO judgment coming from my way! Feel free to add me!

I disagree with the aforementioned post. Counting calories, including those you burn off, is a way to keep track and work toward your goal. Eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, etc. are TRULY disorders because they consume your mind, and instead of eating sensibly, you either starve yourself, binge…

Feel free to add me! I'm uber motivated!

I really hope you can let go of her ignorant comment. My grandpa had dementia really badly, and he asked all my full figured friends that, even me. I believe people ask such insensitive questions out of their own insecurities (or dementia, whichever the case may be!)

I highly recommend protein bars, especially if you will be there for an extended time. They're very portable and nonperishable. And if they search you and see your food, you can always says you have terrible food allergies, or that you're on a doctor-ordered diet. It's a white lie, yes, but it can help you stay on track…

I've been at this for about 2 weeks. The scale has gone both down and up, so my net weight is about where I started. Keeping the faith, though! Maybe it's water or due to the high fiber diet I eat! It does feel comforting to know that other people are facing this challenge AND staying strong in the face of it!

Grrreat job! You look gorgeous!

"tailored to your goals and training method" I'm not sure what you mean by that... ??? Thanks!

I'm not near you, but I'd love to be friends on here to motivate and support each other. Feel free to add me!

What is Insanity? (Not craziness, cuz I got that down!!! LOL)

If I understand this correctly, by the end of the day, you should have your net be equal to your calorie goal before exercise is entered. The net is calories consumed minus calories burned.

From Wikipedia: Water intoxication, also known as water poisoning or dilutional hyponatremia, is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain functions that results when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside safe limits by over-hydration. Under normal circumstances, accidentally consuming too much…

Lanacane also makes a product called Anti-Chafing. It's a lifesaver! And for bras, I personally love my Ahh Bras and similar underwireless sports bras. I have C's though, so you may want to go with tips from other well-endowed ladies!

I highly recommend walking. It's fairly easy, and you can start small and build up over time. Walking is the majority of my exercise, and I'm doing continually increasing duration/distance, and it just keeps getting easier. The adrenaline is great once you go for more than a short walk. Hope this helps!

I would count it. I drink Crystal Light and I count that as my water.

I too have hypothyroidism. I've been on Synthroid for a few years now, and struggle with weight and very low energy. I should note that other medical issues and medications may be adding to my weight and energy issues. just briefly researched this and saw one site recommending a low carb, low fat diet. I can't speak to its…

Thanks to you both! That helps!

Thanks for the reply. So should my net be about equal to my goal before exercise?
