  • I have a fabulous Pekingese who most definitely sleeps in my bed with me. He goes everywhere possible with me, too! I also have 2 cats who sleep on the bed with me as well. My snake, Bird, sleeps in his cage because he's too good at hiding; if I let him sleep in the bed, I may never see him again! These ARE my children! No…
  • You have a great perspective! Thanks for the reminder to hold on to the successes and forgive ourselves our failures. Failures are just lessons in disguise!
  • I can relate to so much of what you said in your post! I don't want to repeat much of what has already been said in response. I do think some people were unnecessarily harsh, and I agree with the people who said that was not beneficial. The big reason I wanted to post on your thread was because you said you get home from…
  • twinsmom03 and anyone else who's interested, Here is a link with a testimonial about Armour. I suggest doing a Google search on it; there's a lot of information about it out there.
  • VastBreak, how do you like the Armour? Do you still have symptoms of hypothyroidism, or have they resolved with the medication?
  • Anybody?
  • 10 good sized tats, and over 25 healed piercings. My body kept rejecting them, so I finally let them go. Loved every piercing and still love all my tats! 65 total to lose. Feel free to add me.
  • I can only speak for myself. I have been on here since the end of May. I lost about 13 pounds, and now it has stopped. The scale is stuck. I continually eat at a deficit and exercise regularly. I have read A LOT of these forum posts, and we are NOT ALONE! People frequently talk about plateaus, where the loss just stops.…
  • Oh honey! It most definitely happens and MUCH sooner than you think?
  • What I've found to help most was cutting out straight sugar. I used to eat A LOT of candy. A LOT! Now, I'm not saying I've completely cut out simple carbs. I eat what I like. I do try to get whole grain as often as possible. I cut out candy and switched to sugar free popsicles instead of sugar ones. For me, these simple…
  • I'm married and one of my bestest and longest friends is a (very hot) guy. It can totally work!
  • I'm 5'5". SW: 215 CW: about 202 Goal weight: 150 For me, that's on the higher end of 'normal' for my height. I have a large frame and muscular body, though, so I doubt I'll want to lose more than that.
  • You look fantastic! Great work!
  • Feel free to add me! I'm on here everyday!
  • My doc actually recommended Alli to me. Definitely worth talking to your doc about. I didn't take it long enough to tell you how it works, but my doc thought highly of it.
  • I guess I should add that I'm in the USA. I'm not sure those regulations apply anywhere else! I'm in Ohio, and those are the regs here.
  • I read the replies to your post, and it seems the consensus on MFP is NO DIET PILLS. I thought I would tell you about something I have found to help. You can't take it forever, and once you stop taking it, there's the possibility of putting the weight back on. However, I found it to be very helpful to jump start my loss. I…
  • I'm 5' 5" with a large frame and very muscular build naturally. My target weight is 150 which is considered the upper end of normal for my height. With the muscle and large frame, I'd look too skinny if I got much smaller than that. Oh, and I'm a pear.
  • You brought tears to my eyes! You are such an inspiration! Keep up the great work! Your goal is within your grasp! You CAN do this, just look how far you've come!
  • Hey, I'm on here every day. Always looking to motivate others and be motivated myself. Feel free to add me! Best wishes on your journey!

  • I agree! The immune system is built up by exposure to germs. I use hand sanitizer at times, but not compulsively. I touch surfaces without fear!
  • Hey, I have hypothyroidism, too. It may be harder to lose the weight, I'm not really sure. I have never made such an effort to lose weight as I am now. I can say this: I've lost approximately 7 pounds in just over a month, and I'm not doing anything to excess. I eat back my exercise calories most days. I've even exceeded…
