I know for me personally the only way to prevent myself from a binge is to remove sugar from my diet. I try to avoid sugar and refined carbs. try roasting them in olive oil, just toss them in enough oil to cover them (usually need less than a tablespoon) then pop them in the oven until done. Different veges need differing times but anything can be cooked this way and tastes wonderful

berries are the lowest in carbs, even then, to stay real low carb you do have to limit how much you eat them.

I found once i cut all sugar from my foods i craved it far less. i removed all processed breads and pastas and diet sodas and real sodas. my go to snack at night though, frozen wild blue berries with heavy cream ... not whipped.

LCHF works really well for me, i am almost never hungry and currently am losing very fast, but i know that will slow down as i weigh less. I can recommend some good websites, all the advice is out there for free, no need to buy a cookbook unless you really want it.
