The only way to really lose stomach fat is to decrease overall body fat percentage. I don't believe you can actually just do spot reduction. I know what you mean. There are times where I was unsure if I was making progress or not but I could take a look at the pics and see I've come a long way. Otherwise I'd feel like I was just convincing myself that I was.

what exercises are you already doing? the main ones should be bench press, squats, and deadlifts. you get stronger in these exercises, you get stronger. period.

hmm.. i do agree with the 40/30/30 comment. Protein is good for building muscle but your body needs the energy from the carbs to mobilize those proteins. But the bad part is that you cant have too many carbs because then the unused ones will become fat.

Oh yeah. Here are some details: I currently work at limit of 1800 cal, with a 40/30/30 carb/protein/fat ratio. I lift 4 times a week and run 3-4 miles on 2 or 3 different days.

It's painful for a couple days or weeks.. but it really helps over time. The more you do it, the less it hurts. You'll find knots where you didn't think you had knots.
