It's not so much the scrolling or device in hand that bothers me (I close my eyes most of the time), but the sound of the person's headphones. Some people you can make out the full lyrics it's so loud, while others a quiet bump bump bump beat is just as annoying. I do appreciate that you realized how loud it can seem in…

I imagine that's why most people do it, and I suppose I understand, but part of the experience (for me at least) is learning to stand a bit of discomfort - both having to live with being warm, and bear being unentertained for x amount of time.

The rules do state that you're not allowed to take video or photographs in the locker rooms and saunas, but sometimes they get wishy washy when it comes to just the device itself being present. "Well as long as they're not taking pictures they're fine" tends to be the answer. I guess it would be impossible to regulate…

It works as well as intended if your only intention is to sweat. You are correct there! But staring at your device won't give you the same lovely meditative qualities and it's possible your body won't enter a deep parasympathetic state as if you focused solely on your breathing (at least, not as quickly). But perhaps I'm…

There was a man loudly singing gospel in the sauna once... Gotta love mass chain gyms.

In my opinion, it depends on what type of flirting you are doing that gets misinterpreted. I have been called flirty but I never do typical "flirting" because I'm incredibly awkward... but I have quick wit and am sarcastic and silly and smile often, which tends to get confused for flirting when really I'm just being fun…

I really like food I must say it's delicious Can we go eat now?

I've been doing CrossFit for three years! You can see some amazing results from it, just gotta be consistent and get your diet in check (if it isn't already) :) Feel free to add me!

They count, but to be completely honest..... If your diet is otherwise where it should be, one celebratory day will not kill you. Don't go nuts and eat 5000cal on your bday, but if you want to go out and have a burger and a slice of cake w/ ice cream your diet will not go out the window. Enjoy your day, and get right back…

Honestly, eating healthy is kind of "boring" - that's just a matter of fact. No person who eats clean loves their diet all the time, we all get tired of eating eggs, chicken, and vegetables  We add spices and other flavors to compliment, but 95% of the time it's the same staples everyday. It becomes worth having…

Lol sambitch!! I also cook extra food on nights before I know I'll be gone all day, but I'm about as not picky as you can get when it comes to eating a cold leftover meal so that may not sound appealing at all to you (which I understand!) Rice cakes and peanut butter are another alternative I've found because I am gluten…

I don't normally count super low calorie things like salad or onion slices. I'll guesstimate and it's usually like 5-15 calories lol

Add more steps/more activity maybe? Your body eventually adapts to the routine and will hit a point where you don't see the same effects anymore. That's why HIIT and routines like BeachBody are so popular, they keep your body guessing.

Why are you doing this....?
-
Rice cakes and bulk peanut butter is a lunch I have most days right before my workout (they have those machines in the grocery store where you do it yourself and it's normally about $2 a pound for that!) Otherwise I eat lots of chicken, rice and bags of frozen veggies! I buy the bags of frozen bulk chicken to cut down on…

Oreos are vegan, if that answers your question.

I am a full time student and count my macros and stay as close as I can to them (but I don't fret if I am too busy and end up too high in carbs/too low in protein or what have you for a day or two). Sometimes there's just too much to do and we have to cut corners, as long as it doesn't happen often it's whatever. On days…

Plugged my phone in to charge... LIKE A BOSS!

It really depends on the overall plan you're following. For instance, I follow pretty closely to a 40% carb, 30% protein, 30% fat diet and it works very well for me and I wouldn't say I carry a lot of water weight unless my salt intake gets really high for several days in a row. I eat 2334 cal/day and it ends up being 233g…

"Stop dieting because diets are temporary. Make lifestyle changes you are able to stick with forever."

I feel like you aren't eating enough as well, and your body has hit the point where it thinks it needs to start holding onto fat to preserve itself. I am 5'3, 132lbs and eat 2300cals a day and am losing fat with 1 CrossFit WOD 5 days a week.

Not sure how long it takes me to burn that because it probably varies greatly by what I do, but you should be looking at about 30mins a day of moderate exercise either way. I do know I burn about 200 cals on an 8min/mi pace run around 20mins.

I actually race in a different pair of shoes - the Reebok All-Terrain Supers. (I run obstacle races!) They don't get worn often outside of trail training runs and races. The CrossFit shoes I don't use for more than a mile or two on pavement, if I need to do any longer I either switch to the All-Terrains or use a sawdust…

We attempted to, yes haha. I see my sports massage therapist every 3 months to work out various tight spots and I practically jumped off the table when I mentioned this problem and he pressed on it! My toe cramped too! He told me to ease into it on my own where I can control the pressure, but it seems to not be working…

I'll try a lacrosse ball again, haven't done that in awhile. (will look into the shiatsu massage pillow, not sure what that is) As for my shoes, I like them snug but not tight because my feet tend to swell a tiny bit as I work out or run.
-
I agree with everyone else. Eat more (especially protein) and lift heavy *kitten* :) It's done me very well!
-
I ended up using an outside calculator to determine the calories I am likely burning each day with how often I work out and eat by that and don't log the calories burned (because they are having me "eat back" the calories basically). The only time I eat back calories from a workout is if I take a long run. If you are…

I couldn't live without meat. Can only eat so many beans.

My apologies, I guess I missed that glancing through the comments. The post was called Tough Mudder Question, so I figured it was a safe assumption.
