great stuff! keep it up!
-
I ran a half marathon on May 18th and burned almost 1700 calories.
-
don't sweat it. you keep doing your thing. you should compare yourself to who you were yesterday rather than comparing yourself to those in the gym. keep on keeping on!!!
-
eat more. you need to eat back all of the calories you gain.
-
That's great! I don't have anyone supporting me on my journey. I'm doing it solo!
-
Yes. I lost about 30 pounds in 5 weeks.

yes, i lost 30 pounds in 5 weeks. BAM!
-
was that 3 more minutes than you did yesterday? all right! way to go! now try to do 5 minutes today and 6 minutes tomorrow. keep on keeping on!

I agree with oregonzoo above. 740 calories is a snack for me and I can't believe what some are saying. It sounds to me as if you don't want to eat out of guilt because of a bad previous day. try to eat up at least 1200 calories even though you had a bad day yesterday. it'll all work itself out in a week.
-
EVERYONE has that issue. you can't pick and choose where the weight comes off. your body will determine that.
-
i'm confused. so what point are you trying to make? that the statement that he made is wrong or that he is a chauvinist pig? i believe that his statement is correct.
-
yes, it's ok. go for it and enjoy your cheat day.
-
stop comparing yourself to others. instead, compare yourself to who you were a day ago or a week ago. diet will be key to your transformation. track and weigh all your food, even if you have bad days. it seems like you had/have a great support system. LET THEM HELP. your journey will be that much easier. good luck!

I would not take fitness advice from an overweight trainer. I'm also hesitant to take advice from an overweight doctor or nurse (unless I know them personally).
-
i'd go with moderate.
-
I doubt people will judge you; however, don't worry about that if some do. focus on yourself and your run. your first race can be intimidating. I ran my first 10K in September 2013 and I was super nervous. I signed up for a half in May 2014 and I was unsure of myself. I've been training for my first half and my confidence…

20g is the low, low...lower than a midget on his knees. I consume about 150-160g of protein a day.
-
i have 10-12 pounds to gain. half marathon, biking, hope to do a half triathlon in 2015. i just sent a friend request.

eat more nutritious food not junk and start walking or get active somehow. I wouldn't consider a sandwich a good meal. try to cook you own food so that you know exactly what you're eating. also, get a kitchen scale and measure out your portions. I used to guess at how much I was eating and I was WAY OFF. good luck.

i was having a potato a day with cheese, but i went to a sweet potato instead. i also try to have an avacado and a banana a day. they're good anti-inflamatory foods and high in potassium. a potato in moderation won't kill you, though.

2 legit to quit!
-
once. I didn't think the site was so user friendly at first.
-
I eat 'em all up AND THEN SOME! NOM, NOM, NOM!!!
-
I will certainly avoid pickle juice and I will not wear my Victoria Secret underwear...just in case I do poop.
-
I usually have a cheat meal a couple of times a week. I try not to have cheat days. but eat as much as you want and enjoy it, try to log it in and move on.
-
i could go for a beef on bun w/fries and a chicken pack from Gates Bar-B-Q and for dessert I could go for a lava crunch cake from dominos. but, i'm having fish, brown rice, spinach, baked sweet potato and banana for dinner. :D
-
yes! eat them up. I do...and then some. I ate up the 550 calories that I burned and I still went over by 540 calories so I am way over for the day.

I personally don't like the treadmill. I don't feel like I get a good workout on the treadmill. I am the opposite and tend to get shin splints on the treadmill and I run a lot slower, while everybody else runs faster. i wouldn't run on a treadmill unless i have to, plus it's boring. when you run outside the scenery changes.
