Way to go!

i did a combination of a strict diet and running years ago. i lost 14 pounds in about 2 1/2 weeks. hindsight, i wish i would have incorporated weights into the mix.

i'm the same way. i'm hungry all the time. can you substitute a couple of rice cakes for the almonds? there's no fat in the brown rice so i don't see anything wrong with that. also, if you eat a little more, can you go for a 15-30 minute walk to offset some of the extra calories?

"allow myself to introduce myself!" i'm chuck-diesel and i swim, bike, run!

i had it and it took me a while. i'm still not fully back yet, but i'm trying.

Will you post an update after you see him?

i plan my workouts and then my meals for the day based on the calories i can eat back. i plan on to run about 8 miles today and then bike 23.2 miles. i'm guessing i'll burn about 2200 calories today so i know i can add avacado and seeds to my salad.

as an endurance athlete and triathlete, i don't use any weights. i was doing a lot of air squats, lunges, pushups, etc. i wanted to lose about 10 pounds in hopes that i'd perform better on the bike and run. i like to eat, though so i've given up on losing the 10 pounds. i plan on incorporating light weights into my routine.

Last year I was training to run the Grand Canyon, my first ultra. I was putting in work and kept thinking of RuPaul's song "You Better Work." https://www.bing.com/search?q=rupaul+you+better+work&form=EDGENT&qs=PF&cvid=846d928ab7074655be2cf72d372fa9b5&pq=rupaul%20you%20better%20work The song that I think about when I start…

I've got a 15 mile run on Saturday and an 11 mile run on Sunday. I don't think it's an equipment malfunction, but I will manually take my pulse if/when my heart rate drops to see if it's accurate.

I try to hit 3,000 calories a day: Breakfast - 825 Lunch - 650 Protein Shake - 155 Dinner - 925 Snacks throughout day - 450

I only use 1-1.5 servings of French vanilla creamer in my first cup to eat/drink with some cookies. the rest I drink black.

if money was no object, i'd buy 3 watches: the garmin FR620 for street running the garmin Fenix for trail running the garmin FR920XT for triathlons

10k is my bread and butter. love me the Plaza 10k in Kansas City, MO!

what cwolfman13 said. if you feel that guilty about it, fill up on fruits, veggies and salads, but you are on vacation so indulge a little bit.
-
i can relate, my diet was horrible. it's a little better now. i do allow a cheat meal a day.
-
i can't speak to other people, but i ran 20 miles on 4/10 and burned 1700 calories. on 4/18, i biked 22.1 miles and burned 994 calories and on 4/19, i ran 13.25 miles and burned 1394 calories. that's how i'm rolling these days!
-
i've never done a tri, but would like to do one. so when you brick a bike/run, are you running in your biking shorts or do you take the time to change out into some running shorts? one of my goals is to do at least 2 half IRONMANS in 2016.

Great story. Congratulations!
-
go for it! you only live once! you're also an experienced trail runner.
-
I agree with the above, start slow. Relax and enjoy it.

I don't know of an app that will do what you want it to do especially with no service/data. you are probably better off buying the Forerunner 10 as back-up or borrow one from a friend.

I suggest you start taking some gels or beans and hydrate during your runs.
-
good luck! hope you find an answer soon.
