I try not to eat for an hr before workout because if I workout too hard I feel nauseated. I drink water throughout my workout so I I have the sensation of feeling full & then about 30-45 mins afterwards I make myself a protein shake. I use the powdered whey, light soy or Kefir if I got it, frozen strawberries or 1/2 a…

I cook with it quite a bit. I too only use the extra firm lite stuff. I love the curry recipe, it's close to what I make except I use curry in a bucket. I also really like to marinate it -- same as other meats (chicken, beef, or fish marinade)-- sometimes a few hrs or overnight then bake it in about 1/2 inch slices in the…

I live in Alaska so we still have snow, but I like to snowshoe & cross country still. I can easily rack up 600 in an hr or less. You can probably duplicate it with a steady pace on an elliptical or gazelle.

Thanks everybody for the feedback. I'll kick up my caloric intake and give up some cardio for the strength training. Michelle4271- thanks for the 'call out'! I need to hear this kinda stuff. I've been down this weight loss road a dozen times but obviously haven't stuck to it. I have always gotten enough cardio, but haven't…

Where are you're green veggies? McDonalds, Burger king, those delicious sounding cookies, Starbucks.... NO MORE!! You want those size 8s... drink more water... a lot more.

Take them to a women & children's shelter OR a food bank if you got one near you. That way several people will feel good... include you!

how about crushed up ice? Jello... the sugar free stuff works well plus you kinda get the sensation like you're eating something.

It's ok! You're in familiar grounds for all of us!

Ditto what dcdc12 & Christy_frank say! Although my husband used mine last night and when I worked out today and didn't rest the weight I was really shocked at my calories burned... but quickly figured it out. You'll see the calorie burn decrease as you lose weight. Good Luck!

I cardio every day, about an hour or so, lift for tone not to bulk up. I'm trying to lose quite a bit so my caloric intake is less, but when I hit my plateau I went gluten free for a week and it got me over the hump. I still ate rice, just a white/brown/wild combo, but not bread or pasta unless it was made from quinoa. I…

My hospital is only 1 floor! BUT like yours it is fitness friendly, even go so far as to offer PTO incentives if you commute to work by means other than a motorized vehicle. (Our Administrator rides his skateboard!) Anyhow, we can use the Phys. Therapy gym after hrs, but during the day the nurses will go into the Pyxis…

I vote for the "sneak your own" popcorn. Would you put a garbage man in charge of YOUR health?! Then don't let the kids selling garbage at the movie theater control your wonderful efforts!

I like it... I have a knee issue and sometimes it gets sore but I just revert to the lower impact version of it. There are 4-5 people doing it with Bob and 1 of them does low impact the whole time. Its about 35 minutes. If I'm feeling super energetic I pair it with Biggest Loser Wt Loss Yoga... WOW, talk about roasting…

Lentils are cheap and easy to make, yogurt is convenient but watch your sugar on the fruit ones. I also like quinoa but it can be a bit more expensive if you're in a remote area, but like rice it is very versatile and can be added to beans, salads, veggies, etc. Good luck on your vegetarian journey! Oh... take a…

Spinach and popcorn. Think I'll have some popcorn right now!

Try going Gluten Free for a week, might be the kick your body needs.

I eat oatmeal OR multigrain cheerios with skim milk. I add in different fruits strawberries, blueberries, half a banana, etc. If I just eat oats I get bored and then just revert back to my coffee which isn't so bad except I get really hungry in the late afternoon and then wind up eating too many calories late in the day.…

I set mine to 2lbs/wk & 1200 calories per day right off the bat. I use the program on my phone & love that I can see the TOTAL nutritional value of everything I eat. 1st week was mega loss at around 5, then each week was 1+ lbs with last week being 3. I noticed that the harder I worked on trying to make the food I eat…
