Awesome! I'm with Noor - the body fat % is super duper awesome!
-
Raynn - I agree with you on NROL as being a way to ease into weights. It was intense, but a good amount for just getting into it. Workout B with the lunges - Oy! Lunges are sooo hard!
-
Awww....hope you feel better soon rosie!

Right now my plan is to lift 3x a week, HIIT 2-3x a week, and endurance cardio 1-2x a week.

Hello! To answer your question, you should eat your cut value every day - even on non-workout days. On workout days you need to ensure that your net calories do not fall below BMR. So if you have a high burn that takes your net calories under BMR then you need to eat more so that you end the day over BMR. I've read New…

Hahaha - like a drunk pony. So true. Those prone jackknives are killer! I thought I was going to die. I also learned after the first set to tuck in my shirt. My belly was hanging out and flopping all over the first set - NOT pretty! And that's some awesome progress just in stage one. Way to go!

I've been wondering myself!

Kelly - I'm curious to hear how you like STS. I'll need something after NROL of course! AFM - So far I really like it. The workouts in Stage 1 are so short and I think that's perfect for just starting out. Also, I'm working on acclimating my toddler to the childcare room at the Y (he's not a fan of being left), so the…

Well I had my first official NROLFW strength training workout on Saturday. I'm off to dance this evening. I'm going to try for doing NROLFW/HIIT 2x a week, my dance classes 1x a week, and this Spartacus class at my gym (strength/circuit) 1x a week, and hopefully a longer run 1x a week. Sooooo, we'll see how that goes.…

Awesome about the inches lost Raynn!

I'm planning to start NROLFW next week and I'm starting to feel excited. I need to spend time this week reviewing the workouts so that I can feel a bit more confident when I walk into the weight room. I'm not intimidated by free weights though - I've done them before. But there are definitely some exercises that I'm not…

Hi. I'll be starting next week! I read my book eons ago, but wanted to wait until I was done with my races for this year. So here I am! I'm planning to review everything this week and figure out scheduling for this workout. I'm looking forward to getting started. I'm planning to take all measurements and take pics before…

Thank you for sharing. Congrats on your success. Sounds like you've had a shift not just in how your body looks but in your mental approach regarding living life at a healthy weight. That's awesome!

That's amazing progress friend! Great job!

Looking forward to seeing your update tomorrow! AFM - I went for a run Monday morning! I was sore and tired, but in a good and normal way I think. I feel like I'm mentally recovering a bit. I keep thinking about NROL4W. I have some things I'm working on for the business this week (grant program for home daycare - lots of…

Mine is 0 and I still needed more meds. My free T3 and free T4 were not high enough. TSH is a useless lab when it comes to hypo treatment. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com

Good luck! I'm amazed that you've been able to do everything you have without your meds. My functioning completely plummets when my T3/T4 is out of whack. I think your hard work will pay off once your meds kick in and you'll eventually get to see that muscle that you've been building. It can take quite some time to find…

Thank you for sharing! Awesome!

I'm an ex- Weight Watcher, so I know the feeling of starving. Even though I have no clue how many calories I was actually eating I'm positive that it wasn't enough. I ran your numbers per Scooby and here's what I came up with. BMR - 1450 TDEE - 2248 10% CUT - 2023 15% CUT - 1910 I gave you the 10% cut and the 15% cut…
-
I ran your numbers. I used Scooby. BMR - 1758 TDEE -2725 15% cut - 2316 I used moderate activity level for you based on how often you're working out. So if you are wanting to go right to your cut you'd want to eat 2316 calories a day. On days that you workout, just make sure to net over BMR. So if you have a really high…

Welcome! I second reading all of the stickies and watching the videos. Can you give us more information? Stats would be helpful so that we can make sure you have correct numbers to start living the EM2WL philosophy - age, weight, height, and activity level. What's your current workout regime like? What do you do and for…
-
Yes this does work for obese. Unfortunately that's my label right now - blech! Anyways, in order to figure out your proper cut number, we need to know more than BMR. We need to also get your TDEE. If you don't mind sharing your age, I could run your stats for you so that we could get all of your numbers figured out.
-
Welcome. We've all been there at the beginning of EM2WL. It's a scary step, but well worth it!

I kind of wanted to run this morning. I didn't, but I was up early again and the thought of running made me feel wistful. It's been awhile since I've been ungroggy (yes, I'm making up words) enough in the morning to feel anything positive towards running. I'm restraining myself right now because I just feel that I need a…

Yes. Stick with it for a good month before you evaluate how things are going. Also, scale weight can fluctuate and do nutty things so make sure you are measuring and taking pictures!
-
Here's what I came up with. I ran your numbers on Scooby and used moderately active for your activity level. TDEE - 2325 10% cut - 2093 15% cut - 1976 I like to know both the 10% and 15% cut numbers. Some people do better on 10% depending on how much weight there is to lose!

Nuts, avocados, get rid of low-fat and light products. You will feel stuffed at first, but your body and appetite will adjust!
-
Just saw your last post. If you feel your hormones are out of whack I would definitely get that looked at with a doctor that knows what they're doing. It makes a huge difference. Once again - I really know from personal experience! Also, when the doctor tested your thyroid, which labs did he/she do? Just TSH or all thyroid…
-
Yes, I think you're more likely moderate. Most people end up falling into the moderate category. I ran your stats and here's what I came up with (per Scooby). TDEE - 2292 15% cut - 1948 10% cut -2063 So I think you could still be eating more! Another thought I have for you to consider is whether or not you need a full…

Any kind of nut and/or seed, avocados, a square of dark chocolate (look for high quality), plain fresh fruit
