How long have you been keto?
I'm just curious what other's experiences are like in this group. I found keto in January of 2014. It balanced my hormones so well that I ended up preggo within a few months. So here I am much later getting back to being serious with my keto. I'm 26 days in and taking this very seriously. So how long have you been keto?

Metabolism Reset - Eating at TDEE Support Thread
Alright ladies, this is our support thread for our metabolism reset. From reading and posting on several threads today it's clear that there are quite a few of us in the same boat here. Some of us are new to EMTWL. Some have been doing EMTWL for several months, but didn't do a metabolism reset in the beginning and now our…

Keto Friends Please
Hi. I've been around on MFP since 2012. I found keto in January of 2014. It worked so well that the felt melted off like crazy and my hormones were so balanced that I wound up preggo. So instead of making goal weight that year I grew a baby. And then there was the after pregnancy weight gain, which seems to be my pattern.…

Adrenal Fatigue - Support and Questions
*****This post is not a debate. If you don't believe adrenal fatigue exists and believe that it is pseudoscience, well, good for you. Go air your opinions elsewhere. I'm sure you can find people to support you. Please don't post in this thread.***** This thread is FOR people who suffer from adrenal fatigue. How has it…

Finished New Rules Stage 1!
Guess what? I've FINALLY completed Stage 1 of New Rules. Woot! I feel like it took me forever with an unintended rest week and a few other roadblocks thrown into various workout days, but I did it! I'm not posting scale/measurement/pic results right now because I want to give my body a few days to let go of any water…

Fell During Squats!!
So during my last A workout of Stage 1, I was doing back squats - with the same weight I'd used the week before. As I'm squatting I thought to myself, "I should try to deepen this squat." Next thing I know my butt's on the floor and the Olympic bar and weights roll into the back of my neck! I got up and decreased weight to…

When you track progress
Just a quick question. Like everyone else here, I like to keep tabs on how I'm progressing in my strength gains. For the exercises that include a bar, such as squats and deadlift, do you count the weight of your bar when you keep track of how much your lifting. For ex. - on squats I started out with bar. Now I'm at 70…

Middle of Stage 1 - Would like to add some New Rules friends
I'd love to have some MFP friends who are also doing New rules! To tell you a bit about myself, I go by the EM2WL philosophy (Eat more to weigh less). In other words, I choose to follow the book's recommendations of eating at a small deficit from my TDEE. In fact, for the first half of stage 1 I decided to eat at TDEE so…

Runners - What do you run with?
So for long runs, what do you take with you? I have a camelback that I thought about filling with water and then of course some sort of electrolyte source of choice (no idea yet as I'm new to running and just now hit four miles). Next week I'll be doing five miles which will take me over an hour (I'm a snail), so I think…

Trying To Stay Positive
So I may be in the minority of those who are venting. Weight loss doesn't seem to be my problem now. I'm trending down at a slow and steady rate. So that's not my issue. I'm in cut - I believe I'm on week 6 of cut after reset. I've been doing well with my half marathon training mostly. July was rough because of the heat.…

Nursing Moms - Measurements
Okay, so do you even bother to do a chest measurement? Seriously I can be up or down by an inch depending on whether or not my little one has nursed lately. I'm thinking about doing under bust measurement instead as that might be more telling until I'm done nursing. Thoughts?

Two NSVs!
*Also posted in EM2WL forum* I have a couple of things that I need to share. Last Friday hubby and I went out to get him dress clothes that he needs for his RN program. I thought that I'd try on a pair of jeans since mine were feeling a bit baggy. So I tried on the next size down and dropped that naggy "W" off of the end.…

Not a half - but a definite running NSV - and a race recap!
**Copying this from a different forum that I'm on. FYI - EM2WL stands for Eat More To Weight Less** I was out of town yesterday, so I've just now been home to update on yesterday morning's race. Well, the night before I didn't sleep well as I was so nervous about oversleeping. In order to get where we needed to go and pick…

Building Foot Strength
So I'm a minimalist shoe girl. I wear Merrel pace gloves. They have a zero drop, so they're definitely pretty decent as far as getting me in contact with the ground. That being said I'm considering incorporating some totally barefoot stuff into my running. Right now I'm training for my first ever half, so I don't want to…

Trying to Make a Decision
This is double posted. It's on the Eatmore2weighless.com forum , but since we're not super active there yet, I decided to post here also. Well, I'm having some doubts about my half coming up this September. Well, technically I haven't even registered for it, so it's just an idea really. But I've been following a training…

One of the most awesome things I've ever seen!
Does everyone know about Kiki's facebook push-up challenge? 109 push-ups - 1 for every like her challenge got. She did it. I watched the video. It was amazing. Just think, maybe someday as I lose fat and build muscle, I could be up for my own challenge. Nowhere near that yet. I can't even do one real push-up right now.…

Feeling Blah, an update, and a question
Anyone ever start to feel blah about their running. I think it could possibly just be the heat draining me this week. I've only ran once out of two runs that I was supposed to do and I skipped my crosstraining day also. This is not like me. Usually I only miss if I'm injured or overslept. I did miss my crosstraining day…

NSV that not everyone would get
This is silly really, but in some weird way it made me super happy. I couldn't share this on the general forum, because I don't think people would understand. I've been trying to go through piles in my house (a neverending job I think). Anyways, I found my weightwatchers bag with all of my weightwatchers stuff. As I've…

For Those That Measure
How often do you measure yourself? What areas? I was measuring once a week, but don't see much from week to week. In fact, my measurements stalled awhile ago - one of the reasons I decided to dive into the metabolic reset. I forgot to do my weekly measuring yesterday and I may just wait a bit, maybe do it every other week…

Runners - Tender spot by knee
I had a twinge that would pop up every now and then that would fade quickly - it was never painful. That twinge has progressed a bit. It's been a day since my long run and there's a spot that's tender to the touch (still wouldn't call it painful) on the inner side of my leg. But I definitely feel the tenderness when I move…

Quick Weight Loss Success Stories
I don't want to knock people's success. It's hard to understand someone's full story from reading, but I've found that I've been reading there less and less. So many of them have lost so much weight in such a short amount of time and then it makes me doubt my chosen snail's pace for losing weight. I know what I'm currently…

My First 5-k and a few questions!
My first 5k was yesterday. It was freaking awesome! I loved it. The energy of raceday is amazing! My PR was beyond what I thought I could hope for. My goal was sub-40. I thought that was reasonable considering my 3 mile training runs were all around 39 or 40 minutes. My finishing time? 35:45...I about died (in a good way)…

What Will You Do At Goal?
I'm just curious. Do you plan to calorie count forever? Stay on MFP? Forget all this business and move on? I'm thinking that I'd like to get to a point someday where I no longer count every calorie (after I've successfully maintained for quite some time). I thought about researching to find a brand of blue jeans that have…

EMTWL Runners
I know there's a few of us. Have you noticed a difference with running since EMTWL? Here's something I've observed. I usually run in the evenings, although I'm in the process of switching over to morning runs. That being said, with evening runs, I had to have so many calories in the bank or else I'd feel it during my run.…

Plateau - Maintenance Week
Well, I've decided that I'm definitely plateauing. This is my first maintenance week since losing weight. I admit that it feels a bit scary to eat more. I did dial down the activity level when figuring out a good calorie goal for maintenance. I'm still healing my pinky toe, so my activity is not what it normally is. So I…

Possibly Sidelined!!
I'm so frustrated right now. I stubbed my left pinky toe on Tuesday. By Thursday morning it was really throbbing. I attempted a run Thursday morning and was only able to walk a block before I had to turn around. Any kind of pressure causes it to throb. In other words I can only wear flip flops right now, so trying to stuff…
