I hear you. I have had hashimotos since I was 24 (I am 43 now) and have struggled with losing weight -- even 5 lbs. How are your calories in vs. out? Are you on thyroid medicine right now? I would try to up your protein and watch the refined carbs. That seems to help me but I still never see big numbers. There is a lot of…

There is a lot of people that are doing P90 and there is a thread just for that -- just use the search feature to find it. My husband and I are Day 60 and enjoy it. After day 90 we plan on starting P90X. Good Luck!

I have had hashimoto's hypothyroidism for 20 yrs and I think (sadly) being tired is just part of the disease regardless of the meds. Another thing to consider is sleep apnea. My friend who is hypo but a wisp of a person was just diagnosed with sleep apnea after many, many years of feeling exhausted. She never really snored…

I have no clue but would love to know what others say.

I lost 5 lbs the first week but that is because I did a quick start for 6 days at about a net of 600 calories (900-300 for exercise). Then I stalled for about 4 weeks once I started eating 1200 + exercise calories. It will happen. Just give it some time.

I make my veg lasagna with red sauce instead of white. I don't do it for calorie reasons but for taste and tradition. My little italian grandma use to make it that way.

Was it bone in or boneless?

Love the substitutions!

I am 43 and I usually work out around 6 am. I drink a large glass of water before I work out and one during the workout. If I tried to eat something before hand I would have to get up at 5:30 and I am not sure I would actually do that. If I wait any later, my kids are up and getting ready for school. Today was the only day…

Wow! It is very obvious. You look beautiful. Congrats.

I never really ate cereal as a child. I am Italian and my usual breakfast was coffee with cream and sugar and several slices of toast. Maybe that is why I am only 5' ft.

Great post!

You have to make the best choice for you based on what you can live with. I have read the Atkins book but never done it. I did South Beach many years ago and found that once I fell off the wagon, I was done for. Anyway, the thing I love about Atkins is that it talks you through the process of adding carbs back into your…

Thanks. I will try slowing down. The pace does not seem too taxing at 60 sec run but as I said I don't want to get injured or not be able to progress. I will let you know how it goes.

I just finished week 1 and love it so far. I am 43 yrs old and have not run a mile since HS gym class. I say go for it. Question for those more experienced: I am doing it on my treadmill until the weather improves and also so I can have some idea how fast I am running. For those that have finished it or closer to the end,…

Hmmm.... I have heard running barefoot is the best for your body so I will be interested to how you like them.

A lot of the BeachBody dvds are only 30 minutes. I also believe the 30 day Shred is about 30 minutes. Good luck!

Great info! Thanks

Where did you get your metabolism tested? How did you find the place?

As always, great information! Thanks Steve

I also started my healthier (not saying diet) eating at the same time I started P90. I lost 5 lbs the first week but really have stayed right there -- sometimes up .5 lb and sometimes down .5 lb. I am 5 ft/142 lbs as of today so considered overweight. I am also on 1200 calories and eat back some of my exercise calories. I…

Exercise will make you feel better about yourself and give you more energy so definitely workout. Your profile also says you want to be a…
