  • I have a 9 year old boy and 5 year old girl. I work full time and my husband works 70+ hours a week so I'm pretty well on my own with meals, house work, home work, errands etc... I was told about MFP last June and it clicked. Good luck to everyone, it's not easy, but it's worth it! Add me if you like. :flowerforyou:
  • So I took everyone's advice! I slowed down so when I'm finding it hard it may be a little more than walking but oh well, still technically running, I am chewing gum too and it seems to be working! I was able to run over 2km yesterday nonstop which is huge for me but I do have an appointment with my doctor the weekend.…
  • I have been like this my entire life so even when I was 5'7 and 110 pounds playing rugby daily, I couldn't breath. It never really gets any better or easier. My Mother was diagnosed with lung issues so it really made me think, there may be some sort or medical/genetic issue. Off to the doctor I go....
  • Did C25K, I do some weigh training and completed 30DS and am half way though Body Revolution. Thinking about getting a personal trainer in the Fall. I just find running really helps with my core, I usually end up seeing a huge difference after I'm consistent, I've had 4 kids so it's my problem area, everything else is…
  • So slow down and practice, sounds like good advice. I am slow though, always have been, I'm fine with that though  I did C25K months ago plus lost lots of weight, there is where my frustration is. I can say I am better than I was, maybe I need to be more consistent. I keep taking long breaks in between running.…
  • My problem has always been with gaining weight not putting it on so I have no idea what to tell someone trying to gain weight as I can do it in my sleep. I had every test going, ultrasounds, upper GI scope, colonoscopy, even an MRI, you name it I had it. I was so bad my family doctor thought I had Cancer so I was…
  • I am almost finished phase 2. I have noticed pretty significant changes in my stomach, legs and thighs in the last week or so. Does anyone besides me hate the cardio days as much as I do? I think I just hate doing it in my basement, I normally like cardio but there is something about working out like that in a small space…
  • I would say that's right for Body Revolution. Right now I am 6 weeks in and I have noticed pretty huge changes in my arms, stomach, legs and thighs in the last week or so. I am not following her diet/meal plan I just stick to around 1200 calories a day plus I walk around 4K on my lunch daily. Good luck!
  • I have been drinking smoothies every day for breakfast for two years ever since I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis. It was recommended I consume mainly liquids in my diet and since then I have felt a hundred times better. Over the last 6 months I have switched to having smoothies for lunch most days as well since I have…
  • Wow what an inspiration!!!! Amazing job!!!! :flowerforyou:
  • It's funny because when people ask me what changed in my life to make me want to lose weight, I have this huge long story so I never tell it. I was 103 at 5'7 when I met my husband 18 years ago, I was 18. I gained weight in the following years and in the process of getting medication for what I thought was an insulin…
  • I could have wrote your post myself a year ago. I was so beyond depressed. I was on the same medication too and I found I felt an empty stomach feeling all the time so I felt like I had to eat, it was either that or nausea, I also felt the 'cobwebs in my head' feeling too which made me super numb and not very energetic. I…
  • I am on level 2 day 9, I took one day off each level so far so started 20 days ago. I am seeing a HUGE difference, I checked after the first level and I think I was down 3.5 pounds and 4", it will likely be a bit more after I check tomorrow when I complete level 2. I would say try to do it every day, don't take any days…
  • Wow! I think you look great! Maybe the camera when you Skype is at a weird angle because I think you look perfect! Family really has a way of crushing us, keep your chin up, they have no clue what they're talking about!:flowerforyou:
  • Thanks, I do feel great! Honestly it was just using this website and exercising, no big secret, no gym membership or anything and I did this over 11 months.
  • I keep hearing that! lol! my 8 year old took these pictures so this was about the best I could do, I will smile next time I promise
  • Wow! amazing job! good work! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks! Still working on another 35ish
  • Thank you! I'm never going to figure that out!!!
  • Yes Life Flight helicopters and planes are completely different than regular ones for several reasons, they have very strict weight restrictions. My sister knew she was over 200 by looking at her. The child is fine. This situation happens daily though sadly, that was my point in posting it, some people have no idea, it was…
  • I wouldn't have either but it's just that the weight restrictions are so tight, my sister has to be weighted at work all the time and she has a cut off and so does the paramedic and the pilot. The Mom was lucky it was her working that day, I know she didn't even consider leaving the Mom behind but a lot of people would but…
  • Good to know! I can't drink milk and it's way too much sugar for me so that's why I had no clue.
  • True story plus Christmas, Easter, Birthday!
  • Just so everyone is aware type 1 is very different from type 2. My husband's nieces have been type one since they were little, it's genetic and not reversible, type 2 can be and is brought on by diet/weight. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance about 15 years ago, I started medication and lost a lot of weight, I also…
  • So interestingly enough I had a GP night last night, luckily I could tell it was coming by about 4pm and had mostly liquids all day. My husband was is always shocked I can be that sick all night and get up and get the kids out and make it to work no problem but you just get so use to it! I can't figure out what triggered…
  • I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis two years ago. Since I was diagnosed I've had very few flare ups I manage it by diet mainly. I can't have fat at all, no Chinese food, no bacon etc... sounds rough but as you are aware, Gastroparesis is worse than not eating certain things. I do have iron issues so I find I'm tired a lot…
  • Exactly! Well said! I think it's ridiculous to say by posting pictures of your kids you're making them the centre of your universe and feel bad for them in the future. My kids are the centre of my universe and I'm not apologizing for that, in a few short years they will be grown up so for now it's all about them. My…
  • Most of my FB pictures are of my kids, I don't post very often though and only certain people can even see them due to creeps. I have some pictures of myself but I hate they way I look in every picture so I never post. Honestly the selfies drive me nuts, like my 60 year old mother in law and her selfies we all know she…
  • Everyone's fears are valid, I just want to tell everyone NOT to give up! About a year and a half ago my doctor thought I had Cancer, I was so sick I could barely function. I had every test done under the sun and nothing too big really came back aside from the fact that my issue could likely be my weight, no doctor or…
