Ugggghhh. Mean girls. Hate it! I see you are in you early 20s. I wishi could give you some of the once You turn 30 wisdom that I gained when I turned 30. The opinions of others seem to mean much less. In fact I am a super nice person and I would have told them what I though would I have been in that class, Btw. If I am not…

You can't outrun your fork. Love that line!!! I can only outrun my fork when I am long run training. I think the 18km plus runs I could eat til I felt Ill and still not gain an ounce. :).

Two words. Beef jerky. That is the way I protein boost and it is a tasty treat (and only 80 cals per serving). I have been borderline anemic though and I always have worked with my doc to fight off the aweful iron pills

op. I agree with some of your points. I love the gym. I love to run. Sweat ur *kitten* off cardio relieves stress for me the way overeating used to. I wish I knew where I read it but if u keep cardio to 30 mins or less it won't increase ur appetite. I have tested this. For me the magic number in 45 mins. A personal trainer…

Great tip. I am conditioning mainly on the treadmill through the -40 weather months this winter so when I begin training for my first full marathon in the early spring I can hit the ground running (pun intended). Gonna start upping the incline.

Its not the totally greasy pizza, but it can help with the craving (and is my way to enjoy the entire "pizza"). - 1 Dempster pita (ancient grain, sundried tomato) - 180 or 190 cals - 2 tbsp pizza sauce (you can find for 40 cals) or two laughing cow cheeses (if I need the cheese fix) - Baby spinach/portobella mushrooms (cut…

Confession: I do 30-40 mins of sweat your butt off cardio 6 times a week and 45-60 mins of weights 3-4 times per week. I figured out my TDEE and reduced by 20% but I don't eat back a single calorie. MFP doesn't know I am in a "deficit" becasue I don't log exercise becasue I don't want it messing with my numbers. And, I…

Great. Added :)

By big guy I mean overweight. And yes skipping breakfast, in my opinion, is wrong. Especially if by lunch you are famished and get high fat greasy take out
-
Omg trolling. Seriously. I am just a person trying to help her husband loose weight. I am helping him go from a world of skipping breakfast, eating fried high fat foods at lunch and no veggies at all to eating healthy. I am not a troll. I also don't think I need to compare my husbands protein needs to those that (based on…

Really - never would have thought of flavor packs. What are the cals in those?
-
Completely agree - replacing a bad habit with a healthy habit (such as running). Even better, the new habit (like running) is harder to do if you smoke.
-
Sorry - I weigh it cooked and it was part of a larger meal. But we eat about 6 smaller meals a day.

For the most part - full fat (except for milk - whole milk = blaaaa to me. 1% or skim only). Everytuhing else is full fat except salad dressings - cesar and ranch we do full fact for "treats", but we pretty much only use the kraft fruit and veggie dressing otherwise. They are fantastic and everyone in my household loves…

Depending on how much you have lost and how expensive the piece of clothing is (like is it an expensive business suit) you might want to look into finding a great tailor to re-size. I have friends who have done this (I did not) and the re-sized item looked fantastic. I would only do this if it was a base piece that cost…

Make your successes small ones. I mean really small - meaning, if you can't get through a Saturday without having a Cupcake Sunday - make that your goal :) Also, you set your ultimate goal, but set smaller goals or victories. Every 1/2 or 1 pound loss should be a joyous victory with high fives and *kitten* slaps all…

When I am sick with the stomach flu my body basically craves everything that we have taught ourself not to eat (or in moderation) on our weight loss journey's - all the "whites" and salties - white toast and butter, white rice, white salted crackers...and then as I recover it craves grease (getting back the grease you lost…

- Up at 4:00 (3:50 actually) - run down stairs, hit the coffee perk - throw on gym clothes - grab coffee and water and hit the road - at the gym 4:30 - back home by 6:00 - just in time to see my kids get up Love It!

K - So I am 5'6 and 149. Have the soft "mommy tummy". Would like to lose likely around 20 - but my focus is toning and get an athletic/lean body - want to be top condition when I begin training for a full marathon in April. So, I say 20, but it could be 15 - will see as I get closer (doing cardio and weights) On the other…

I would say make it like a pizza with sauce, cheese and whatever pizza toppings you like (spinach chicken and feta (no mozza) for me. Then broil it or put it in the toaster oven.

Absolututely... A few points for me to add. First of all, it is saddening me to such a level reading the negative posts. I know there are a lot of the proper words being used here, such as "healthy" and "fit", but what I read is fat is ugly, fat is disgusting. As a mom to girls, my heart is just aching to see such…

Actually - in some workplaces that are food obsessed (and have a birthcake all the time), the work treats are what can get you off track. I am so lucky that I work in a crazy health nut environment (which is not the norm for the field of work I am in. I say no to cake - I don't need to eat a piece of supermarket slab cake…

I am logging for myself and two others in my household, all on different calorie amounts with various goals to achieve. To get through the weekdays without feeling exhausted, immediately after supper, my hubby cleans up and I log everything but supper (and sometimes I log supper) for the next day for the three of us. I ask…

Good for you - that is amazing. I was a size 18-20 when I started - my first 20 when I lost my big amount were my face, chest (yup - lots in the chest - in total I went from a 40 DD to a 32 A+ - not quite a B), and feet. I also noticed the tummy fat start to break down (if that makes sense) - from smooth to the "cottage…

This - after kids I had the BEST body of my entire life. Op - If you are worried about getting fat, there are things beyond our control (medically) that may lead us to become fat - I am not sure what that number is for you (10 pound, 20 pound gain), but if getting fat at all is a huge concern, I would talk to someone so…

Chocolate of course, but the savory bomb is Poutine. Fries, gravy, cheese curds - there is nothig more perfect or more unhealthy. Back in the bar days wouldn't go home without hitting up a fast food place that served it really greasy. (I know - a very Canadian Response).
-
Wow. There are MANY factors that could be playing into the OPS situation that are so far from being related to affairs and being fullflled. There are medical factors that should be looked into. Since you were so steriotypically going to "does he take you like a man should", I am going to be "steriotypical" and say - don't…

80% of my workouts start just before 5:00 am. Get up, get a go mug of coffee, grab some fruit (grapes work good), head to the gym. Usually do 40-45 mins of cardio and then 30 minutes weights. Home, get ready for work, and eat my breakfast at work. I always have a pretty close to bedtime snack that is carbs - I know that…

My husband DETESTS vegetables. I really mean it - he is a self declared "meatatarian". He gags, looks green - it is super hard to watch him try to eat cauliflower and brocoli. Due to watching his dad who wasn't very old in 5 years go from active to death (diabetes, strokes - just super sad) and end up spening his last 18…

Hello - Chocolate addict here married to a chip addict. My husband has just started his weight loss journey. The food thing is overwhelming for him and I have been logging and weighing food for 4 years now, so I am meal planning. I give him a certain amount of "snack" calories per day that he is in charge of....he uses a…
