I aim for at least 8 cups in addition to other stuff I drink (I drink lots of tea but don't count it as water). I keep water in the fridge and refill my 2-cup glass at least four times. I also always ask for water in addition to whatever drink I order if eating out. I try to get my water in early, too--drinking after…

How wonderful and so inspiring! Congratulations! Well-done!

Congratulations! What an awesome victory for you!

Celery is great for heartburn. So are digestive enzymes, which are abundant in papaya and aslo pineapple.

I like Atkins protein bars. They're not low-cal, but you can still get a lot of protein if you just eat half. I also like a slice of turkey breast spread with laughing cow cheese & rollled up, protein shakes made with unsweetened almond milk (very low cal & I love it), and boiled eggs. I love cottage cheese, too and like…

Yes, I am thrilled. More than I imagined. I can't wait to reach "normal" now!

Thank you all! It's so cool to gave friends who "get it"!

I find eating enough protein really cuts down on being hungry. And, drinking lots of water! Eating high-glycemic foods makes me very hungry, so I try to avoid white foods for that reason. And, I can get plenty of carbs in veggies & lower carb grains. So maybe you could save some calories (say100) and if you're hungry after…

Here's my favorite thing to do with ground turkey: Saute some onion (I use a whole small one, chopped), add a pound of crumbled ground turkey & cook until it's no longer pink. Then, add a 10-ounce box of frozen spinach (thawed) or several large handsful of raw spinach. Cook until heated through. Add a tiny bit of nutmeg, a…

Ratatouille! I like to saute zucchini, yellow squash & onions. Had that for supper.

I like to grab treats sometimes when I'm running errands, so I get where you're coming from. But if I was going to do that kind of calorie splurge, I'd go for something really decadent and wonderful and worth it and not available at Mickey D's. Now, I go for a skinny iced latte or an iced tea at a coffee shop, or a small…

Tuna salad (water-packed tuna, boiled eggs, low fat mayo, pickle relish) mixed with 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese. One of my favorite quick lunches. I was on the run or I would have put this on top of romaine. As it was, I ate it from a bowl. Super-filling and high protein. For dessert, I sometimes mix the cottage cheese with…

I just don't like them. I've tried a lot of them because the convenience sounds so good, but I'd actually rather have almost anything else.

Massages & pedicures are my go-to rewards for everything! Heck, I do them when I don't deserve any reward (then I call them therapy). :) Maybe when I reach goal, I'll get the whole enchilada and book a spa day! :D

That's actually not weird--pretty common. Exercise suppresses appetite for awhile. Probably to keep us from working out then pigging out then throwing up. You definitely need to learn more about handling blood sugar issues and eat more. I'm an old flabby lady & my daily net is 1200. Yours should be much higher. No…

I thnk most of us know exactly what you're feeling. Most of us have felt that intimidation at a gym at one time or another. SOme never set foot in one because of that. Nobody's born knowing how to operate the equipment, and you need to know that, so you could get someone you know to go with you & show you. Or, you could…

My SW is wrong on the spreadsheet. I love the look of 130 by my name, but it should be 188. :D

I like chili over baked acorn squash or sweet potatoes, too.

You could try magnesium supplements. It's a main ingredient in some laxatives (Milk of Magnesia for instance), but it's also something we don't get enough of. If you take any calcium supplements or certain other medications, you need more magnesium, for instance. AND, it's excellent for sore muscles--Epsom salts is…

If you have a campfire, you can cook almost anything in foil. Veggies are delicious like this. Toss broccoli, squashes, tomatoes, cabbage, onioni, peppers, --whatever you like-- together in the foil. Season with salt, pepper & a little olive oil spary. Fold it all up, toss on the fire & let it cook. Depending on the heat…
